"Looking for a traditional restaurant in Messina we thought we had found it. Situated a short walk from the main plaza, the menu looked authentic. Initially the service was good, we were shown to a table and given a menu and then told to check the QR code why do restaurants do this???? We ordered and meanwhile 3 or 4 more guests arrived. Our first course arrived some 20 minutes later, mussels in a tomato garlic jus. Very tasty and enough for us to share. The restaurant seemed to be a place for hanger ons to meet, two of the tables being occupied by non paying guests. The owners(? were chatting to friends whilst the one waiter was there to satisfy the paying guests needs. After 30/40 minutes the main arrived, though we ordered from the Primo menu. My partner’s spaghetti was undercooked, not al dente. My ravioli was thick pasta with a small filling in the middle. The sauce was bland. For 52 euros i was disappointed, though I have found restaurant prices over the last two weeks in Italy to be higher than last year and a lack of daily specials."

"Siamo andati, con prenotazione, giovedì sera per l'all you can eat di braciole. Locale discretamente pulito, luminoso ed affollato. Servizio inizialmente lento, probabilmente per l'alto afflusso di clienti, ma le braciole, seppur piccole come vuole la tradizione, sono effettivamente buone e sono presenti come contorni sia l'insalata mista che le patate al forno ed il panpizza. Bevande non incluse. Nell'offerta di bibite è presente il chinotto della Polara, più amaro di altre varietà (lo segnalo perché per me è un pregio). Servizi igienici verso fine serata da rivedere, ma per l'afflusso in sala direi le condizioni erano perfettamente nella media dei locali messinesi (insomma si capisce non era dovuto a problemi di gestione, ma agli utenti della serata). Per qualsiasi esigenza non aspettate passi il cameriere, piuttosto chiamateli senza remore: il personale è curato, cortese ed agile nel servizio, se stimolato. Torneremo volentieri e sicuramente lo consiglio."
