It was a great place. Casual but still had wonderful food. The owner was the kindest and most generous person and the staff was excellent. A definite must if in the area Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We stopped for a snack: toast, orange juice and a coffee and we paid €35 for two! Apart from the coffee at €2, which not even in the center of Milan, €1.50 cover charge for a toast seemed at least out of place to me. In comparison, two nights ago, at the San Carlo restaurant in Caserta, two of us had dinner for €50! Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

As Italians we expected a super touristy place with poor pasta and instead we fell in love with the spaghetti alla nerano and cherry tomatoes from Vesuvius for which an encore was MUST like the slipper. Terrible experience, will not be returning. Thought this might have been an isolated event but have read previous reviews and can see that this is symptomatic of the owner’s attitude. Requested the bill and asked where there was a bin so I could deposit a plastic bag which included 2 empty bottles of water plus the empty drink cans purchased in the cafe, as I had thought that it was nice to clear the table. The lovely young waiter replied that he would despose of it no problem and we proceeded to the till to pay the bill and to use the facilities. The owner had an unpleasant attitude and I regret leaving a 15% tip as when we left the owner shouted at the waiter who had obviously been told to...
