"I wanted to try this place after reading such rave reviews as I thought I might be missing something special so called in here to give it a go.. I have to say we were warmly welcomed and the staff were lovely and very efficient...indeed as the food arrived pretty quickly after placing our order.. Although the food was nice and everything was fresh it was not the amazing experience I was expecting after reading other glowing reviews, I would also add the coffee was good but the bottled beer was very expensive. The place is also quite small with low ceilings and can get noisy as clearly demonstrated by the irritating gobby guy dressed in overalls that kept coming in talking loudly to the girl behind the counter and you could hear nothing but his big mouth throughout the place and would have been delighted to have shut it for him to get some peace and quite.. I cannot really say anything negative about the quality of the food or the service but it just did not live up to my expectations."

"The Sunbeam Cafe, situated in the charming Brooklands Clubhouse, offers a delightful spot for lunch or breakfast. With both indoor and outdoor seating options available, there is plenty of space to dine. The menu offers a good selection of dishes to choose from. I opted for a hot snack and thoroughly enjoyed the Cornish pasty. The cafe strictly adheres to Covid-19 regulations, with tables properly spaced out and contactless card payments only. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Overall, a highly recommended dining experience."

"The first time we went as a family and we were really impressed! Not least by our waiter, Robert, who was absolutely fantastic. He made space for us indoors (as it was quite chilly outside) by cleverly rearranging some tables without us having to ask. He was so kind and attentive. He’s a real asset to Valentina’s. Thanks Robert. Also Valentina’s made our dog very welcome too. We will definitely be back."

"I like the Mogul because the cooking is slightly different to the usual curry house greats. I would prefer it if the spicy food was more spicy, in our case the dansak was hotter than the Naga curry , 3 chilies should at least make you wince a bit. I'll ask them to rev it up a bit next time. Ambiance could be improved with a fish tank and 20 sitar greats. Beer is way too expensive and they didn't have Carlsburg on tap. I enjoyed the flavour and quality of the food and I'll be back , but I'll go to the pub first."
