good pub for an early morning eye opener' if necessary, this pub has friendly barstaff, although some of the regular can be more of a challenge. it doesn't eat anymore what a shame is.

first-class service, eating was absolutely fantastic, can't fail anything I would recommend it to everyone, there are any amount of choice on the menu and I was told that I was a fussy eater.

excellent breakfast! would like to use this opportunity to thank megan for me and a few mates, even if we were not hotel guests. great place to come when they are like me, carry a few extra kilos and for a hell of a food!

First visit after building work completed, lovely food from the lunch menu all cooked to our liking. Excellent service from waiting staff (lady has worked here for longer than I care to remember). A great experience and very good value for money. Will certainly return for more.

excellent service from reception to eating. the first time you came here. eating was great and served immediately. our waitress (kelly) was excellent, cheerful, helpful and informative and we were never long waited for everything and she has always checked us for everything we needed. considering how busy this place was and the size, the staff are amazing. we have the joys of this fine device before, during our 2nd visit we had both evening and breakfast dishes, given the current asking with deliveries etc. are their extensive selection on the menu and as for the breakfast both cooked and continental options are available and the prices are very reasonable even more if they accept the defence discount card that is brucie bonus!

WOW, what amazing service from Louise and her team tonight…after being turned away from the empty restaurant at the premier inn across the road that we are staying in we wandered over thinking there would be little chance of getting a table. We were greeted by Louise who said they were no tables available but said we could have a drink at the bar and she would let us know as soon as one was available. We probably waited less than 15 minutes and we were seated. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and efficient which believe me is a country mile difference to the premier Inn over the road where staff there walk round like zombies clearly not wanting to be there I haven’t seen a sing...

Dan, the manager, welcomed us immediately and explained a table wasn't available for 30 minutes but we were welcome to wait in the bar, after I'd asked for a table for 5. Before getting to the table he explained the table was ready and it was just getting cleaned. These small details kept us informed. He explained the new staff member would be dealing with us, Sydney, who you would not have guessed had been working their only a week. Working her way between several tables in close proximity she gave customer service with a smile the whole time.
