Harvester Hillington

We ordered two courses meal, full pork ribs with chips and coleslaw, the portion is quite full for an Asian like me. They have a freeflow salad if you order a main course. The pork ribs is the best Waitress are very polite and friendly.

Sheena our waitress at the harvester has been amazing. Such a friendly woman and has made our night very enjoyable. Food was lovely and the atmosphere has been wonderful. I would recommend people to give it a try even if it's just the once. The dessert was lovely also, I've included a picture of the dessert.

Stopped in for a lazy Sunday breakfast. Really great choice of food, we went for the Scottish breakfast and pancake stack. Super tasty. Have to mention I'd add extra stars as they provide Lurpack butter for the toast sublime. Specially shout out to our lovely server Sheena, a real wee ray of sunshine and so helpful.

We had to wait a long time before being acknowledged upon arrival at the restaurant, and once we were seated, it took quite a while for our order to be taken. The food was served promptly, but the vegetables were lukewarm and the burger bun was burnt on the inside. The starters of mushrooms and prawn cocktail were decent, and the salad bar was satisfactory.

My husband and I are retired and visit Harvester on a regular basis. We have just started buying the bundle which with unlimited salad is excellent value for money. The food is hot and well cooked. .I have never had any problems with any of the staff and would like to highlight the service we received on the last two visits from GINA. She is genuinely interested in bringing whatever is needed.

Went here for breakfast with my parents, service was fantastic, fast and easy. Both servers were lovely, very personable and incredibly helpful. Food was lovely and well worth the price, the environment was clean and well kept and the seating was comfy and well spread out so we felt very comfortable being there with no masks on. Definitely worth a visit. Mary, in specific was fantastic will be back.

Harvester Restaurant and Bar Hillington. This is not the kind of place which I would usually choose for a meal however I WAS VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY MY VISIT. The premises were clean (including toilets), staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent and hot, not much waiting time after placing the order and very good value for money. All good, no criticisms at all and I will definitely be back.

I ordered the Sirloin steak instead of the rump since the ribeye was not available. The meal was well presented, but I believe the steak was actually rump as it was very tough. My wife had the Surf and Turf, and the sirloin was almost inedible. The waitress got the manager to give us a free coffee, but at £16.99 for the meat, it felt like a small gesture. Despite the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, I would recommend going to a steakhouse if you want a good steak experience.

So is there anywhere for the kids to play? No, just the carpark. What if they try to walk around the pub? The grumpy duty manager doesn't like it. In fact he doesn't seem happy about anything and is abrupt and mumbles a lot from the moment we walk in (this was Sunday May, Harvester, if you would care to check who it was). The service was slow but we got what we ordered and it tasted fine and didn't cost any more than expected. The drinks refill and salad bar are good. I asked a waitress for some more cutlery and she was very helpful (I sure wasn't going to ask that grumpy duty manager). So it's ok but poor for kids and the attitude of at least one staff member is definitely sub-standard.
