Hayden's Coffee Shop

Excellent service and first rate accommodation. The breakfast was wonderful and they catered of all of the family dietary complications.

We used their catering facility for a birthday party at our home. They were excellent and the food was plentiful and good. All round a good 5 star experience. Chris and Sylvia Arnold

We walked in and were seated quickly, which was nice, and the waiter was pleasant. But the service was incredibly slow and the food very disappointing when it arrived, particularly for the price. Do not recommend.

Lovely view but bland and overpriced for the quality. Poor quality coffee, tasteless and too hot. Eggs and watery avocado had little taste without any seasoning. The White House and the Fig offer better food for similar prices.

Visited Hayden’s on a grey day . Left with a big smile on my face. Beautiful table overlooking a stunning view surrounded by flowers . Had delicious ploughman’s as you can see from the photos . Homemade coleslaw and potato salad . Fresh crisp salad and fruit . Perfect as always .

What a cracking place, beautiful decor and lovely and clean . Whilst we only enjoyed some top coffee and gluten free cake , they meals that came out during our visit looked quality components and very yummy . It’s a shame we had already had lunch earlier . There’s not many covers in the building so it was peaceful and we didn’t wait long for our order

We have visited often when visiting Rye and tea, coffee and cakes are always delicious. Visited Rye over Easter and treated ourselves to breakfast at Hayden’s. The light breakfast was delicious and so was the Cheddar Eggs (lovely cheese scones served topped with poached eggs, grated cheese and accompanied by two delicious sausages). Thoroughly recommended.

Always had a good experience here, the food is delicious and well prepared also presented attractively. The staff are efficient and friendly. Just one small point, the chair seats are very uncomfortable even with cushions. I have dodgy back and after today’s visit it became very painful. It was definitely the seats that caused this. Apart from this personal gripe, I would say a visit to Hayden’s is highly reccommended.

My daughter and I decided to visit Rye for a day trip last week and called into Hayden’s for lunch. It was really busy, but the waitresses found us a table in the back part of the cafe and warned us in advance that there would be a wait for food. The menu has a wide choice of options, varying from different breakfast combinations , to jacket potatoes, cakes, sandwiches etc. My daughter opted for one of the specials on the board which was a jacket potato with avocado, beetroot and hummus, while I had delicious cheese scones with poached egg and bacon.
