I have stayed many times at The Grand Monarque when travelling to Chartres with work and often I end up just eating at their brasserie.

Very good hotel and restaurant, spacious and comfortable room, atypical but quality decoration, very good quality restaurant, I recommend.

A must to visit for anyone who appreciates Le Mans history, whether you stay at the hotel, use the restaurant or bistro, or drink in the atmosphere. Speisekarte ansehen

A mythical place for who is a fan of the 24h of Le Mans. The Chartre sur le Loir, Capitale de la brocante. The Jasnieres, vineyards to discover... and much more!

Charming place, open even on Monday night! Service impeccable despite fairly high prices. Nojs spent a good time in this place, I recommend it to you especially during the 24h man's period!

The Loir valley is worth a visit but this renowned place is rather disappointing. Unless you are a big fan of past car race champions, the inside decoration doesn't fit what the outside looks. It is a sad regular comfortable setting that you may find everywhere. Except for a nice lady, members of the crew are either indifferent or even rough and unpleasant.
