"I am honored and astounded to be the first to review this magical food-meets-forest experience. Granted, a car is needed to reach this pinnacle of Soriano nel Cimino dining, accessible via wending tree-lined roads, up and up the mountain. But it is well-worth the adventure. First, the menu: regional, traditional, seasonal. Started with carpaccio (in this case, more preserved beef than raw), moved on to a primi of chestnut and porcini pockets in a cream sauce, and then to a secondi of veal on polenta, topped with porcini mushrooms (can't get enough)! The beef, interesting, the pasta, heaven on earth, the veal, hearty and delicious. All, accompanied by the owner's pick of affordable and absolutely suitable vino rosso. Our feast was finished with tartufo affigato, the perfect close to a most amazing meal. Although we bungled with our menu Italian, the service was friendly ... And patient, as we were the only ones there. We chose to dine at lunch, the better to enjoy the after-meal workout of exploring the surrounding woods. This is what clinched Baita la Fagetta as the most memorable eating experience in my lengthy history of dining. Golden light streaming through ancient trees, a walk through a fantasy forest as the perfect degustivo. If ever in your life you are lucky enough to be in Soriano nel Cimino, do yourself a supreme favor and take a drive to the top of the mountain to dine among whispering trees."

"I haven't been to all the local restaurants, yet, but I'm surprised it seems to top the list. Don't get me wrong the service was attentive, food was good (we had pizza) and the price was ok. What we felt it lacked was warmth. The main restaurant is a huge tiled room with large tables well spaced from each other. If you are there for a wedding on a lovely summers day it is probably totally different but on a cold and blustery November evening it felt uninviting not withstanding the service. I was hoping for a warm inviting country house but what I got was cold and uninviting. Outside they have a decent garden area with a pretty pergola which strongly suggests their main business is in wedding reception market. One point on the food, we ordered pizza, fine. But they brought us an appetiser of thing focaccia which was very nice but not what you want when you are about to eat pizza! After a few slices of the focaccia she couldn't finish the pizza. Better would have been a lovely canapé that showed off the chefs skill and maybe might have brought me back to try something else other than pizza. I asked for a wheat or white beer but I got a lager. Not sure the waiter knew the difference. The prices were average."

"I had dinner with my friends. we took two mixed appetizers in 4, consisting of meats, cheeses and various appetizers. a discreet appetizer and perhaps a little too little for 4 people unfortunately we have entrusted to the staff who recommended it. for second personally I took a cut with onions and balsamic vinegar. the meat, accompanied by a small portion of fries to washing machines (very good), was delicious and tender and the finish with onions and balsamic vinegar was exquisite. as sweet I took a tiramisu (excellent and perhaps one of the best tiramisu I've ever eaten). finally a coffee and a bitter. Unfortunately I have to give four stars both for the proposal of appetizer that was recommended and for the price that left me a little enigmatic. for the rest if you want to eat a good cut and a good dessert this is the right place."

"We took the opportunity with colleagues for lunch, the very tasty food varies between Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines. The service is fast, ordering via tablet is convenient where you can find the entire menu with photos of the finished dish and description of the ingredients. In my opinion, as I drink tea during these lunches, the choice of tea flavors should be broadened and served in leaves or berries and not with sachets. It's all very appetizing and presented on the plates with great care. The only point is that if you arrive close to (but also an hour before) the kitchen closes the staff is a little too diligent in reminding you that you can't order further if you don't hurry... it would be enough to say it once every time you pass by the customer , this is a bit annoying for this 4 , the advice is to order everything you like immediately perhaps leaving the whims for later, in this way you can also control the order quantity What are you doing . Overall a pleasant restaurant to visit, friendly staff. Promoted Vegetarian options: They are indicated on the menu clearly visible and with a satisfactory description Parking: Parking on the street on the white lines is a bit difficult but not impossible, on the other hand there is a large paid car park right in front of the restaurant so for two hours and a few change the car is conveniently parked nearby, which isn't a bad thing since you're going out rolling over how good and abundant the food is Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is located on the ground floor. The layout of the tables also allows you to move around the room easily with a wheelchair."
