Really friendly waiter and excellent food. Great atmosphere. Obviously a cafe favoured by the locals so to be recommended.

We had a lovely dinner here. The server was so patient with us as we tried to use our French. The tagines were amazing... I'd never tried one before. Definitely go! Have the mint tea!!

Although right on one of the main Paris highways, it somehow feels like your local couscous place. Maybe this is because it seems to be frequented by regulars. The food is very well done and obviously cooked on the premises by someone who knows. The service felt homely too. A pity they have to spoil it by bringing a bill. Speisekarte ansehen

We had a nice dinner for two in Royal Berbere and would definetly recommend it.It was our last evening of a lovely weekend in Paris, and we craved some real food with a lot of soul in a nice comfortable place that isn't too fussy. It was exectly that and more! The food was delicious (look for chicken tagin with pickled lemons), the service was very welcoming and unpretencios, and all in all a lovely evening.

We had our last dinner in Paris at Icosium and it was memorable. The couscous were great and service very kind and helpful. They were very understanding with our 2 years old who was very tired and a bit loud that evening. The high point of our meal was the wine. We asked for a suggestion and it was delicious. Very interesting red wine that went very well with the tasty lamb couscous, a combination that often doesn't work.

The Couscous dishes are pretty big, well prepared, delicious and not expensive relatively to Paris. I had the vegetarian Couscous ("Nature") and enjoyed a lot - all the ingredients (Couscous, vegetable soup, boiled Hummus grains, amazing spicy Arisa and Raisins) are served seperately so you can create your perfect dish. Normally I do not write reviews, but in this case I am making an exception. Icosium is a wonderful couscous restaurant in the 14th district of Paris. I have been to many couscous restaurants in Paris and this one is by far the best, which is why I always return. The couscous is delicious and is abundant and it’s a joy to come here to eat. The service is also excellent and you are not rushed as in many other restaurants in the city. The restaurant has a good feeling about it, which makes it a nice choice in eating out.

Algerian food is similar to Moroccan in that both include couscous and tagines.We had a lamb tagine and a lamb tagine with prunes, both of which were good, well presented and accompanied by some plain couscous which was much better than any I'd had before. We also tried an Algerian wine, something I'd never seen previously. It was quite different and went well with the meal as you'd expect.The waiter was very helpful and if we'd had room we'd have tried a dessert as they looked interesting too. A good evening in a friendly and different restaurant.

Where do you find an authentic cous cous in Paris that comes without the hookas, tiles, music, etc? Icosium produced a real home cooked version: perfect fine grains, delicious and tender lamb or chicken, fresh vegetables in tasty broth with accompanying white sultanas, chickpeas and caraway flavoured harissa.The restaurant is clearly favored by locals and the hosts are friendly, polite and caring. Other dishes are available, including bricks au thon, salads, steaks, maigret de canard.We also had a good bottle of Algerian red wine, St. Augustin, recommended by the host.A little off the beaten track in the 14th, come for the food, the friendly local ambience and very fair prices.
