"We enjoyed the dinner so much, we returned for breakfast the next morning! Great atmosphere, decent wine list couple of ales although only one on the night we were there). I have to say the London Pride didn’t feel to be from a “well...kept” cellar, no better than just OK- with the Doombar off,a second pint was sadly declined! Steaks were well cooked, properly seasoned and fries generous and tasty. Chocolate sundae was slightly underwhelming but OK. Coffee was well below average, tea perfect. Breakfast following morning very good, well cooked and generous cheese omelette. Toast was from tasty loaf with only slight downside of there being no marmalade-surely unacceptable on what was Brexit Day? We will be making regular trips to this part of Hertfordshire and Jacoby’s will be revisited."

are here a few times dirty drinks, the staff are friendly and efficient abd the outside area is beautiful altho the terrace heating not working.

Hats off to Jacobys last Sunday morning. Eight of us and two dogs, all very wet and cold after a run were warmly welcomed for drinks and breakfast sandwiches. The staff couldn't gave been more friendly or helpful. Thank you, we will be back

we visited yesterday. the place was very busy and lively (but great social distancing measures at place and place) and the workers were all very helpful and accommodating. the Mexican food was really delicious and the portions were very generous. highly recommended!

We had a set Christmas menu on Monday 23rd Prawn cocktail in a tall glass very awkward to eat from and the Christmas dinner was awful pigs in blanket nearly raw and were not cooked properly. We also got over charged on our bill by...£24.00 so check your bills. We will not be going back. Speisekarte ansehen

my partner and I are deeply disappointed and disappointed that jacobys decided to change his menu in a mexican. we use to be here regularly and love the old jacobys menu. ware now has two Mexicans in immediate proximity and eating is very... average! we hope (together with many of our friends) that the owners will change the menu again!

This restaurant has a striking interior with really attractive, comfortable furniture and interesting fittings. So that’s a really good start and then you get served such a brilliant breakfast so what’s not to like. The staff are really efficient and friendly. Saturday is our breakfast...treat day so we will be back. Also very good quality coffee and juices.

I'm so disappointed that jakobys now only offers Mexican food. the family and the employees were very nice. but eating was not good. we already have a little Mexican in the city and wendobt need another one. the menu and the feeling of jakoby before this recent change unfortunately I will not go back while I would have visited jakobys often for lunch and drink Speisekarte ansehen

We went for lunch today here it was lovely. There was a nice relaxed ambience staff are nice. We had a lovely cappacino which was very nice. I had the fish goujons sandwich on brown bread but the sandwich was served toasted ..I would have preferred it not toasted as it made it dry my mothers sandwich was quite overdone brown toast. The bread is quite small as well. The chips were lovely crispy tho. My sister had the smoked chicken wrap which she enjoyed very much. I still did enjoy my lunch look forward to returning.

Many, many years ago this restaurant was the best in the area and the place to come for a special treat but unfortunately not like that anymore, it's fine but just quite a basic bar restaurant. Saying that my food was actually very nice this...time but we did sit there for at least half an hour after our plates were taken not being offered any more drinks, coffee or dessert even though the waiter didn't look that busy. Anyway we weren't desperate and we were chatting and the time disappeared before we knew it so we just asked for the bill and left. So not a big deal and still gets 4 stars so pretty good rating but i would want to be aware if i was the owner!
