English breakfast and Sunday dinners from here are both very good quality food! Would definitely recommend visiting. Reasonably priced too

New Year’s Eve at HRI and the team decided they wanted a nice lunch. We tried our usual haunt but it was closed so we tried Jacques... we now have a new usual haunt! Delicious roast beef sandwiches... and the rest. Great customer service.

Just eaten at Jacques for the first time and will definitely be back, what a lovely little place. Both the staff on today we're very friendly and the gentleman there was brilliant with my kids, making jokes and giving them a lolly for afters. Have just received the worst customer service possible having received a breakfast that was inedible. Burnt bacon and beans that tasted of vinegar. Burnt tea cake swimming in butter. Having asked the staff no replacement was offered just full payment demanded. Will not be visiting again. Seems to have gone downhill rapidly, dirty and dusty, Very disappointing.

We cannot thank the staff at Jacques enough! Not only was the food and coffee excellent , the staff were exceptional. We visited today with my father who is unwell and can be very challenging and unpredictable at times. Not his fault but some people struggle to cope . The staff at Jacques just took it all in their stride and continued to be professional, calm, nothing too much trouble. You are amazing, huge thank you

Popped in as needed a place to rest my weary bones while my car was being valeted. I intended to have a coffee but proceeded to order the full english breakfast. What a taste sensation. Like a party in my mouth. Cooked perfectly and every mouthful was perfection. I will definitely be back here to sample more of the delicious food. The restaurant owner was so friendly and was happy for me to take up residence while my car was being pampered. I left this establishment feeling thoroughly pampered myself. I had reserved a table for lunch on Friday at noon, outside on what turned out to be a very hot day in July. The table was in a breezy corner with a sun canopy, which helped to prevent sunburn. I had to go inside to get menus since they were not brought out to us. My friend and I made our selections from the menu and I went inside to place our order. Unfortunately, they were out of paninis and quiche, so we had to choose something else. We made a reservation for Sunday lunch for 3 adults and 1 child to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We had dined at this restaurant before (pre Covid) and had an amazing meal. This time, we had the restaurant all to ourselves, which was a nice touch! My husband ordered the steak pie, while the rest of us opted for the roast beef. The food was delicious, with the beef being tender and succulent. There was a variety of vegetables, mashed and roast potatoes, and a large Yorkshire pudding. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. I visited this restaurant with my friend. We were not aware of their booking system, so we went inside to order. One rude staff member kept repeating that most tables were booked. We decided to sit outside anyway, but the service was still not very friendly. We were given a menu and went outside to decide on our order. When I went back inside to order, another staff member was arguing with the first about the booked tables. I ordered a bacon mushroom dish for my friend and an egg mushroom dish for myself.
