Great Lewes pub and beer. Had our wedding reception upstairs in 1999. Always have a Harvey’s when I am back!

Who wouldn’t be in love with a pub that’s welcoming, comfortable and stacked to the rafters with the finest Harvey’s brews.

Lovely quaint pub with friendly staff food fantastic sandwiches bread so soft and fresh we all had different filling and all . A must to visit when in Lewes. Speisekarte ansehen

The restaurant always serves great pints, especially the two pints of Harvey's porter that were absolutely fantastic. We also had a great trip to the Harvey's brewery shop to stock up on Christmas beer.

a warm welcome, attentive and competent staff. a great pint of harveys armada and pancakes eat. other sandwiches where excellent my wife recommends bacon an brie). everything in all a great place to stop and lunch before they live and explore the brewery shop.

500 mile round trip to drink the finest ale! in a fantastic pub. harveys brew quality ale, the best bitter was fantastic yesterday. good to visit. not sure why the nights that now produce, dosen and keg, they are simply müll in my opinion! great tasting local beer, some real winners. a beautiful historical building in a quiet street. the meal I had was a classic pub-grub dish, generous, fresh product and drown in a rich beautiful brown ale gravy. friendly staff and local, I would definitely recommend to immerse a pint of harveys best.

on the way back to essex from brighton we decided to stop in this beautiful city. we had so much luck stopping in this beautiful gastro pub. selection of ales, gin and stunning eating. I chose fish and chips and other three chose the pflugmann with their award-winning pork cake. the renter made us so welcome and let us as if we were their friends. very recommend this beautiful event . I wish we had more of these places in essex . many thanks again x

After exploring Lewes Castle, we were feeling hungry so we strolled down the high street and stumbled upon the John Harvey Tavern. Tucked away on a side street, it was a pleasant surprise to discover. My husband was eager to sample some of the Harvey beers, so this was an ideal choice for him. We opted for sandwiches - a pork sausage sandwich for him and a falafel and halloumi sandwich for me. Both sandwiches were sizable and came with a generous portion of chips.
