Spotlessly clean , friendly staff and lovely breakfast , served piping hot ! No dogs allowed which is a bonus for us . Reasonably priced, and the coffee is good too.

Very clean cafe, excellent service, delicious Welsh Cake and cup of tea. Very keenly priced too. All staff seemed very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. Huge plus point was spotless toilets.

We Went here just for a coffee, and while here couldn't say no to a bacon and egg Sarnie ... Great quality produce is used as fillers and the taste simply ht the spot. Great location with an amazing view of the sea and promenade...

I stumbled upon this lovely restaurant while visiting Barry Island for a trip down memory lane of my husband's youth. We decided to stop in for breakfast and were impressed by the friendly staff, delicious food, and quick service. Overall, a great dining experience!

I don’t get it. 272 reviews of 5 stars??? I had scampi that dripped water when you bit them. The chips looked like oven chips and where dry. My wife had veggi sausage and mash with peas and gravy. The sausage was tasteless. The staff were pleasant and the tea was nice but the food is not.

John's Cafe was recommended to me and it certainly lived up to the hype. The Full English breakfast was delicious and cooked to perfection. I appreciated the little containers for the tomatoes and beans. The toast was nice and the coffee was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, the breakfast was a great value for the quality of food and service.
