"what a sound! it was searched for breakfast options in mudeford and found this whole gem! the menu looked fantastic so we walked 3 miles along the beach to highcliffe to this spectacular place! I am so fussy with breakfast options and there was so much to choose from and three specials also! great coffee, fab service and delicious food! the children had American pancakes that they had torn off, Hubby had the one pan. fabulous homemade beans and delicious sausages and I had crushed avo with additional smoked salmon. everything was good. all foods are homemade and I just wish this was our local!"

"An absolutely first class experience from start to finish. We phoned for a table for Sunday lunch at short notice, to be told that the restaurant was full at most pubs that would be the end of the conversation, but no I was asked to hold for a moment while they worked out if we could have a table in the pub itself the answer was yes! We arrived 15mins later to find some rearranging had gone we were now seated in the restaurant. All in all, a very friendly welcome combined with excellent customer service absolutely delicious food all made for a memorable lunch an experience that we would thoroughly recommend. There are pub/dining establishments nearby to the Amberwood (that we won't be bothering to return to anytime soon) that could learn a lot from the level of customer service on offer here. This was our first visit but it certainly won't be our last, compliments to the management for getting it just right. 10/10"

"My Wife and I don't travel so well these days but decided to go a little further afield from our usual Highcliffe and Christchurch haunts we live in Mudeford. We went twice in point of fact. The first visit was the 21st June when My wife and I had a quiet Birthday celebration lunch prior to the Family celebration later in the day. It was excellent. We only had the Mains and despite it being busy and not having booked we were served promptly and cheerfully with a round of drinks. My Wife had Chicken Pie and I had Liver and Bacon. Both were excellent and my Wifes vegetables were freshly done. I don't have vegetables. We liked it so much we went back three days later to celebrate our youngest Daughters birthday and again had lunch before the Family celebration later in the day. The meal was as fabulous as three days prior. My Wife had a Chicken Roast, our Daughter had Beef Roast and I had an amazingly well filled Steak and Merlot Pie of the Week. As before the vegetables were freshly done. Unusually for us we also had puddings (Lemon Meringue, Bailey's Cheescake and Apple Tart with Custard. All were excellent. All washed down with Tea and a Latte the former being served in nicely twee Teapots. Total cost £80 for the three of us on the second visit. Worth every penny. All in all First Class and couldn't fault it. Disabled parking nicely located in the front with ample parking for those more mobile at the side and back. Just a note for History buffs. The main building was built in 1853 by John Harrison(? a Carpenter thus the name Carpenters Arms."

"I went to this restaurant for a birthday meal based on a recommendation from a friend. It's located in a beautiful village and was quite busy, which shows it's very popular. However, it would be nice to have a bit more space between tables to avoid feeling cramped. The staff were very friendly, and my meal, as well as those of my partner and one of my sons, were delicious, well-cooked, and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, my other son's meal wasn't up to par; his soup had separated, and he had hoped for a nice crunchy piece of crackling on his pork, but instead, it was tough and chewy. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd consider returning, though probably not on a Sunday, as it seemed like many people were out looking for a nice dinner spot."

"Beautiful food, lovely service and very accommodating. We went for Sunday roast busy at 1800 but the Covid measures were good with screens separating tables. The atmosphere and aesthetics were not affected. Views of the sunset over the sea were beautiful. The food was lovely we both enjoyed starters main and desert and can throughly recommend the prawns, duck, crab and beef dishes. All were very well presented and tasted great. Mocktails were some of the best we've had. Also, we visited with our dog Annie the staff were so good with her and made sure we felt welcome with her. No issues at all. It is not cheap, however, I think its certainly worth a visit! Many thanks to the staff for a lovely evening."
