"My partner and I decided to visit Kemis after being told by a family member that it was great. We stood in the doorway for around 10 minutes and were blatantly ignored until we had to approach them ourselves and ask if there was any availability. We were turned away due to a lack of tables. We took it lightly and thought we’d visit a second time the week after. The experience was almost exactly the same. Not approached and ignored. When we were finally spoken to, the member of staff approached us with a very unfriendly tone and just said ‘ we’re full’. No smile, no hello, nothing. As someone who works in hospitality it is terrible to see a cafe barely greeting customers or making effort to get them seated, makes everyone feel very unwelcome. For this reason, I always go somewhere else as I feel out of place. Very strange and unwelcome atmosphere. Shame, as the reviews for the food seem great, the front of house staff let this place down massively."

I absolutely love Kemis, it is possibly my favorite cafe in Cardiff. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and they even allow dogs. The food is delicious and reasonably priced.

This restaurant in Cardiff is still one of my top choices for dining! The baked goods are always delicious and visually appealing, with a wide variety to choose from. The coffee is excellent and the staff is lovely.

I absolutely love Kemis, definitely one of the best places to eat in Cardiff. Always friendly, food is always stunning. The flavours are amazing, the salads are out of this world and the cakes are delicious. Visit if you can, i would eat there every day if I could!

If you fancy something healthy and satisfying this is your go to. Such good quality and lovely service, I couldn't recommend it more. Also I say healthy but that is only because I get the salad box when I go. They serve bacon sandwiches, quiches, and all sorts. Definitely worth checking out.

Delicious cakes today best chocolate fudge cake I’ve ever had (usually find them quite artificial tasting) rich and fudge y. Peanut cake was amazing, not too sweet, crunchy and very more ish. And my personal favourite, key lime cheesecake. Delicious. Great, friendly service and more than happy to buy local and help out a lovely family business.

I decided to try the seasonal salad that I had seen all over social media. This small, hidden gem had an incredible selection of fresh cakes, salads, and wraps. They had fantastic options for vegans and those who are gluten-free. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation with all the customers. It was such a lovely place that felt like being at home.

My wife and I have visited Kemi's many times and it was great to be back for lunch. I was impressed by the changes made to cope with the pandemic. Lunch was delicious, service was friendly, fast and efficient. The staff were first class and could not have helped more and all with a very positive attitude. Kemi's was full the whole time we were there, but all customers were served promptly, due to the hard work of the staff. We also picked up several items to enjoy later at home over the next several days. We will of course be back!

My first lunch out with my daughter after months of waiting and I wasn't disappointed. We were soon settled in by our server, who brought us water straightaway. He gave us time to decide what we'd like to eat and, after ordering, my dish quickly arrived. I chose the mezze platter. From the initial forkful to the last I was delighted. The bowl was packed with flavours, sometimes sweet, sometimes sharp, sometimes spicy along with an array of textures and colours. I was truly satisfied. No room for anything more so I'll just have to return one afternoon for tea and cake. The atmosphere was unhurried yet the staff were attentive.
