"Visited with y other half as we both enjoy tapas. Menu was a clip board with several pieces of paper, most of them were greasy. We order bottle of Rioja which was good. For dinner we ordered: Patas bravas, albondigas, calamari, gambas pil pil, croquettes and bacalao fritto. This is where the issues of the evening mainly lay, the albondigas were two small meat balls and were served in a tomato sauce it tasted like Heinz tinned ravioli. The batter on the calamari was embaressing and was rubber too. Entrails were also left in the gambas, not ideal when trying to remove when roasting hot. Patas brava were ok but tiny portion! The only saving grace on the fod side were the bacalao fritto (cod) and croquettes, both delicious. Night and day the batter on cod in comparison to calamari. All plates were expensive too especially for the portion size, poor value for money. It was a shame and a dissapointment as the resaurant itself is decorated very traditionally and all the waiting staff were friendly. I love tapas and especially when we holiday in Spain. I think we'll be sticking to only eating tapas in Spain from now on. Tapas cheap, tastful and sharing dishes.........La Boca cetainly didn't deliver this."

Very impressed with our lunch at La Boca. Three tapas for £6.95. The waiting staff were welcoming and helpful. The setting is casual. The food was delicious. As others have commented the portions seem small but still great value on the lunch deal.Certainly recommended for lunch.

We have been there on a Sunday just for a couple of tapas,we ended to choose the croquetas.Paid 16.50 for two Cruzcampo (not exactly a great beer) and two (one each)small, grease and tasteless croquetas. We would’ve liked to order more tapas, but THAT was enough.Cant fault the friendly staff, but it was not a good experience.

Went here for a meal on a Friday night before heading down to the Barrowlands for a gig. We ordered 6 dishes between 2 but were only served 5 of the dishes we ordered despite asking a couple of times for it. Although this dish was taken off the bill, we were looking forward to trying this particular dish. Food we got was tasty though. Speisekarte ansehen

Turned up before going to theatre. Place was empty. Should have known. Menus were A4 clipped to a board and pages covered with food. Nothing jumped out at me for eating. I am allergic to fish so limited. Ended up ordering two tapas between us. Pan con tomatoe with huge chuncks of raw garlic in it and burnt, what I would call chicken nuggets. No mushrooms on menu (wtf). So annoyed as been there on a good few occasions and was brill. Ended up just paying for the wine but not good on an empty stomach!!!!

Never been here before and I thought overall it was pretty good. I've been lucky to have eaten a lot of Tapas style food in Spain over the years and having recently eaten at Rioja also in Glasgow I was tempering my enthusiasm (Rioja is very good)So Friday night, not that busy but food was good. I'm not that keen on Paprika and I found that to be used a fair bit, beef quality could have been better. However wine was fantastic, and price I'm not kidding was half that of Rioja3* Average is maybe a bit harsh, I would go back and for £15 a head for food the value cannot be beaten.

4 of us went here before heading next door to Swing, the 20’s style show barIt was pretty packed even this early in the evening at around 6:30 but evenly spaced out so as not to feel cramped. I have to say that every plateful was very good but the highlight had to be the Entrana Grill comprising of beautifully cooked steak. Not something I’ve often seen in a tapas restaurant With 2 bottles of wine, our meal came to a very reasonable £100Our only minor complaints was there was nowhere to hang out wet coats even though there was ample space in the hallway at the back if only there were hooks. We will be back !! Speisekarte ansehen

I visited this absolute gem of a restaurant for the first time this evening; and it won't be the last!Whilst the dishes did look a little on the pricey side at first glance, the variety of the menu, the portion sizes and the excellent quality of each tapas dish made it more than worth it. The restaurant is super cosy with a great ambience, brilliant service and the menu offers flavours and combinations that I've never experienced in a tapas restaurant.I highly recommend the chorizo and chickpea stew (please forgive my lack of Spanish in giving this dish it's authentic name! 4 dishes between 2 ladies in their mid-20s was the perfect amount...and the beauty of tapas style dining is that you ca...

I'm sorry I hate writing these kind of reviews but I've rarely been anywhere which disappointed me as much as la boca. I read the reviews online before visiting but my friend had been last year and usually she has good taste but not this time. We had an itison voucher which cost us £20 for 2 mains from the grill section and a bottle of wine. We decided to order calamari and cod goujons as a starter, both around £6 each which I felt was really expensive because the portions were really small! They were both just ok. But then our mains arrived...my boyfriends salmon was actually £13.50 on the menu and if I hadn't had paid for the voucher I would have sent it back. It was literally the smallest...
