We've been to La Charette Creole twice for both the food and the atmosphere. On this latest visit, I had the octopus stew and my wife had the curry chicken, both of which were excellent.The service is very casual and you almost feel like you're a guest in someone's home. You definitely get the feeling that this is a family run business. The proprietor makes a point of coming out and greeting every customer and I had a very interesting conversation with him about his experiences running the restaurant.

While we were gone to enjoy a good chicken and then go home calmly, we found ourselves in a restaurant with a surviving atmosphere, with guests dancing on creole sounds, a barmaid that offers the apéro to thank us for waiting a little longer than expected and sylvain the boss who comes to talk very naturally about one thing and another. The meal served, we enjoyed it. Attention, however, to the cod acras, spicy!before leaving, the arranged rum shots are offered (in case we had not already fallen in love with this restaurant...). In short, an atypical evening, filled with creole colors, recommended!

We had a great evening with a Sidonie and his team!All we chose was very good and well served. Certainly the decor is a little kitsch, the service dishes not of a great refinement (in stainless steel), but the main one is in the plate! If you want a romantic meal or talk about confidential business better avoid because we are really at touch-touch with its table neighbor.
