La madeleine - Speisekarte

We ate here 12 June 2017 and had an excellent meal. Well cooked, well presented and good service. Excellent value for money!

Slightly overshadowed by Harmonie round the corner but well worth the visit. Tthe E22 menu was excellent with pleasant service.

We liked the restaurant next to it but could not get a table outside. We ordered steak and burger. The steak was chewy as hell, the fries too soft and the burger not salted at all. We did order the medium priced red wine which I can also not recommend. The food was a waste. We did not eat much and went to a better place. Worst food we had so far in France.

This is quite possibly the worst food we have eaten in any restaurant in France. Everything on the plate was dried up and old. If it hadn't been the case that all four lunches were the same we would have and should have complained, but we were afraid of confrontation and decided just to pay what as asked and leave. Really awful food , something a chef should have been embarrassed to serve.

The burger and the the hash brown 'galette' was edible but not really seasoned. The bull-steak was very chewy and the pepper sauce could not be called sauce, it was warmed up cream with pepper. The restaurant benefits from the location, as there is a good rated restaurant just next to it.

We had a rather disappointing lunch here which was a bummer because years ago we ate here times because the salads and main dishes were perfect and the service was friendly. The service was slow and inattentive the meals were inconsistent in...portion and quality (my wife’s salmon filet was tiny compared the neighboring table). Food was unseasoned and bland. Steak Tartar was not very good and was missing capers and other key ingredients. Dessert was ok. Beer and wines were good. Not coming back any more!!!

Ate here for lunch and chose the plat du jour, in this case some form of steak and chips. Food was fairly average, nothing special but definitely not the terrible quality some of the other reviews mention. Main, soft drink and a coffee for under 20 euros. As a solo diner I was offered the table directly next to the road or one tucked around the corner. I chose around the corner and, although it was pleasant in terms of shade and noise volume, I was somewhat ignored by staff who pretty much forgot I was there.

We had the 3 course dinner for €23 which was good value considering the quality of the food.It was a very hot 37 degree day so we ate inside where it was cooler.The lamb was perfectly cooked & lovely flavours. The profiterole desert was light & fluffy, filled with 3 wonderful sorbets. I'm not usually a dessert person but on this rare occasion my partner was disappointed that I wouldn't share it with him ha ha.We finished with a coffee outside while we watched the cute geckos running up the walls of the apartments opposite. A pleasant atmosphere, friendly service & lovely food.
