very good value quality price. even if the price is high. It's very fine gastro type kitchen. a pleasant little outside but it would be good to fold the parasols when the sun no longer type because it is stifling underneath.

very good time in this restaurant that offers a large patio for beautiful days, it is very pleasant. Servers are in small care and chic. We had taken the dessert flat entry menu in the 35 euros it seems to me. meals more than copyy and very good. A little more for mouth lovers. We'll be back with pleasure.

Excellent restaurant with menu offering good seasonal products. The plates are well presented, the delicious dishes. A nice attention during the mouthing for my 14-month-old son who was entitled to his potimarron velvet. The chef had just changed the menu the night we dined and very warmly explained everything . We enjoyed a wonderful evening of lovely food and in particular loved the fresh asparagus entre. The staff were so helpful and friendly ..it was very sad to watch our delightful waitress being so rudely treated by another guest . Totally not warranted.We thought the food very well priced and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend.

As a small family group and friends we stopped in the quiet village of Huismes (from Chinon to Usse chateaux) for lunch. The Auberge was busy but we were given a table for 6 by a very pleasant and smiling young lady. Following a round of aperitifs we chose from both the daily and a-la-carte menus, being difficult, however, our orders incl. dessert were taken without problem. The service was good bearing in mind some of the dishes were a-la-carte and were expected to take a little longer but all of the food was excellent and well presented. Hidden away in a small hamlet about 15 minutes from Chinon makes for a wonderful break from the tourist overload in Chinon proper. We had eaten in Chinon the previous night, and found that while the quality was comparable or perhaps slightly better, the price, quiet atmosphere and attentive service more than made up for the difference. The husband/wife team worked tirelessly to make our dinner pleasant, and although their English isn't as strong as one might get in a tourist hub it was more than sufficient! We each had the prix fix menu for under 20 euros, including an appetizer, main, and dessert. With wine and coffee, we spent just less than 60 euros for two highly competitive in Chinon, w...
