La Regina - Speisekarte

Nothing is italian here, nor the pasta, nor the pizza. Spaghetti on top of the meat? whaaaaaat? Bruschette with million pieces of tomatoes??? whaaaaaat?? Pizza which is not pizza?? Please do not consider your restaurant as Italian restaurant.

Absolutely terrible restaurant avoid avoid!! I wish I had given the money we wasted on this meal, to one of the many homeless people at Kings Cross. Me and my friend were met by extremely rude staff. We just wanted to go in for lunch, and when we asked where to sit, the waiter said anywhere. I ordered an English breakfast, but was not impressed at all. The beans and toast were cold, the sausage wasn't cooked properly. My stomach didn't feel right afterwards. For the price this appears good value, but I would advise you to avoid. There are plenty...of other places nearby offering much better quality food.

Eaten here before and it was excellent, has this restaurant changed hands ? although the food was good, an excellent steak, and prices reasonable, it was let down by the waiter who was abrupt a bit miserable not very helpful and very hard to understand....other equally miserable bloke behind counter looked totally disinterested in life.

We visited La Regina after a busy day touring London. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and the food was fantastic. They were happy to change the spaghetti carbonara to penne for my daughter, my husband enjoyed his calzone and I had a tasty...pizza with Parma ham, rocket and Parmesan. Really enjoyed our visit here! The starters were really generous sizes and the mains (we both had carbonara) were delicious. A homemade/traditional feel to the food as opposed to the ‘generic’ identical plates large chains offer. Waitress was really attentive and helpful. Decorated really nicely...inside. We just can’t understand why more people weren’t dining here we had a fabulous meal, definitely recommend.

Ate here with of my friends for a belated birthday lunch. We chose this restaurant as it was central and had a reasonably priced lunchtime menu. Important as one friend lost her job recently. They gave us the main menu and explained when we...enquired that the lunchtime menu wasn't available. It's still advertised on their website though! Starter of bruschetta had only one very small piece of toasted bread along with the tomatoes. My first choices of main weren't available so ended up with a mediocre pizza. Popped in for lunch whilst waiting for the train back home after the euros (Sco v Eng) because after a few days in London, still during restrictions, couldn’t face another major chain ‘take out’ for convenience and we had time to kill. I was a...bit concerned as there was nobody else in and it was so still lunch time. However, I had not needed to worry- the waiter was very attentive and welcoming, the restaurant was spotless including the toilets and it has a prime location over the road from Kings Cross station.
