"We just came back from “ la taverna”. Being in Nemi for a few days and seeing the goodreviews we went there. We were placed at a table close to a table of 30 celebrating students. During 1,40h it was quite impossible to communicate for all the continuous screaming and shouting, quite painful noise level I can assure you. Then after 10mn sitting the menu arrive one for 2). We ordered. It took a very long time before anything was served. In the mussels-plate that arrived more than 1/3 of the shells were empty. Still a good taste but 1/3 of a plate of empty shells. Then my friend’s meat arrived. I was served potatoes but had to wait I checked the time) 25 mn before my meat-plate arrived. Of course my friend had eaten when I even started. In my meat there were plenty of smal pieces of bones. Really difficult to not swallow any of them and then arrived at half the plate I noticed the largest piece that looked very suspect to me. I turned it up and then... it was a piece of tongue!!!! not indicated in the menu) I allmost felt for vomiting which I with a lot of efforts I succeeded avoiding. Then waiting for the guy to come with the bill I noticed they were 2 running around serving at least 60 peoples. That explains the never ending waiting, the bad timing but still not the real bad quality of the food. Tired to wait at the table we went to the cashier to pay. Then some more chaos and waiting and waiting for those guys didn’t even write our orders before or while serving us. They didn t have the exact change to our payment so tired and looking forward to leave that place we went out. On our way out one the personal wave us away frankly not saluting as I think they should in a restaurant with such “ class”. I speak Italian that didn’t help). Now back at the apartment still disgusted by the sight of the tongue, my ears still sore by the chaos of that place. An horrible experience indeed. I do not recommend this place to anyone, at the opposite, avoid it unless you want to throw money away as we did. I ve been visiting a lot of restaurants all around the country these past 2 years. This was by far the worst place I ve experienced in all the country. It wasn’t that the food tasted that bad really but the all experience was just a nightmare. Avoid it and buy a slice of pizza or a piece of bread anywhere else...."

Having passed La Taverna several times, we decided to visit on our last day in Nemi. Just a shame we didn't go before. Great food, good service. We will surely be back, should we visit Nemi again.

posto panoramico sul lago di nemi ho mangiato un antipasto di montagna molto buono nulla che il classico antipasto poi ho preso un decisamente buono bisteccha l'unico difetto che ho chiesto per il sangue e m8 arrivato cucina media ma il gusto era così buono che era ok lo stesso

Abbiamo cenato quí sabato sera,siamo stati benissimo,sia come cortesia e gentilezza il cibo buonissimo,dall'antipasto di terra ricco e gustoso,le pasta tutte buonissime sia di carne che di pesce,la carne e i dolci squisiti.Eravamo in gruppo e ci torneremo sicuramente e volentieri!!

Ritornati in questa ottima trattoria, all'aperto abbiamo gustato un'ottima cacio e pepe, un ottimo tonnarello allo scoglio e un ottimo piatto di gnocchi gamberetti rucola e pachino. Per secondo con l'apporto sempre magistrale der sor Roberto al camino, una grigliata di pesce, un filetto e un'orata. Per finire fragoline di bosco con gelato. Ottima la vista, si vedeva il mare.....

bellissimo posto fuori e dentro. cibo delizioso. anche se abbiamo assaggiato le gustose pizze, il delizioso odore di piatti di pesce dagli altri tavoli ci ha convinto a tornare a questo ristorante (che abbiamo promesso di fare), magistralmente diretto dai fratelli di confort simpatico, marci e roberto, le mie terre native. le 5 stelle, che a malapena assegnano, li meritano tutti. We with my boyfriend are visiting this place quite often and each time we are enjoying with pleasure our time in this restaurant! Staff is cordial and friendly, chiefs are really great professionals in cooking. A fireplace is making a spending time more cosy. The menu is various and including traditional italian things (appetizers, fish and seafood, meat on a grill which is preparing on your eyes, pasta, desserts). All these things from first look are seems simple but on taste they are made in a special way and with the soul.
