La seconda volta che ci torno... Staff sempre attento.. le ragazze gentilissime e professionali. Proprietario top! Cibo di qualità tartufo top! Qualità cortesia e attenzione alla clientela fanno delle terre di mezzo un posto dove tornare sempre.

Ho cenato con il mio partner e il nostro cane inseparabile. siamo stati accolti con calore e cordialità! e non è scontato, soprattutto se accompagnato da un cane. formaggi accompagnati da composte, che dire, sublimi! il tartufo tagliato e l'altro finocchio e pompelmo delizioso! ordinare sempre fico cheesecake con vinsanto! La taverna della terra di mezzo riesce a catapultarti in un luogo dove gusto, tradizione e familiarità con luoghi in realtà mia visitati, si fondono e creano un’atmosfera accogliente per apprezzare al meglio la cucina dei proprietari ! Un locale sorprendente. Dall ingresso rustico si può scendere di due livelli prima in un piano medievale e infine in una zona un tempo adibita a granaio romano . Cenare in un posto del genere letteralmente scavato nella roccia è impagabile. Ottimo antipasto di salumi e formaggi toscani. Ottime le tagliatelle al pecorino di Pienza e la tagliata con finocchio e pompelmo. Di livello anche i dolci. All around the service was great they were friendly and the location was great. We sat down and were given localy made bread. We all ordered the Boar ragu and found it nice but it was too small for a proper meal. So we ordered the steak and it was full of tendons and fat so we ended up eating 4/5 of the stake because the 1/5 was not chewable. The owners childeren and friends were lound and obnoxious not at you would expect for a €186 meal. The filtered water was not worth the glass bottle and we asked for a half bottle of wine wine of the house they did not have it and were encouraged to order a full bottle of €18.20 wine. We had an amazing experience at Roberto's restaurant. We stumbled on this restaurant because it looked like fun from the outside. We asked Roberto to choose our menu pairing it with appropriate wines and we were blown away by the flavors, his choices and the Tuscan wines. This was our first Florentine steak experience and we were not disappointed. It was tender and perfectly cooked. After dinner, Roberto brought out his homemade grappa. It is amazing they were able to serve everyone with the limited staff they had that night. He also helped us acquire a local truffle so we could use it to cook at our apartment.
