"After stumbling upon this restaurant while searching for a place to eat, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. We were seated promptly and given the option to taste the wine before ordering a bottle. The staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our visit, even going out of their way to plan a surprise for me. The food was top-notch and definitely worth the price. I highly recommend this restaurant - 11/10. Overall, an amazing experience."

Not been in here for a few years and so glad we did today Lasagne and Garlic Bread for me, My Wife had a Penne dish and they were both awesome. Great service and a fantastic price, what more do you want

Had an incredible lunch at La Tavernetta! The food was exceptional, it truly felt like I was transported back to Italy! Peter was excellent, with extensive knowledge on wine and food. Will definitely be returning!

I have been living in Southampton for a couple of years now and always come back here. I haven’t found any other italian restaurant that could live up to this one. The food is amazing and authentic, truly every item on the menu is worth trying once.

Really lovely little restaurant. The staff were very polite, even when having to deal with the large group of loud 'lads ' behind us. The food was amazing, especially the garlic bread and the fudge brownie. Would definitely recommend. Was a lovely date night!

Had a great meal at this restaurant. The food was really good and the staff and friendly and helpful. The Lasagne is one of the best I have tasted in the UK. I used to live in Italy and this was just like being back there. Have been once before and will certainly be back again.

On the main road, diagonally across from the civic centre complex, this was a really good find. I emailed through a booking via their website earlier in the afternoon as I think they can get quite busy with the pre-theatre crowd.I enjoyed lovely fresh garlic bread and a very nice gnocchi quattro formaggi dish, all promptly served by the attentive staff.Definitely recommended and I would certainly go again.
