"We sat in this restaurant and watched delicious-looking food go by in a rush, again and again. The place was packed, the servers in a frenzy. We kept asking 'sir' and 'madam' with intermittent stretch of inactivity..... till the cows came home, and were either blatantly ignored, told they'd be with us later, told to please wait a moment.... after 32 minutes, we quietly got up and left. If your service folks cannot deal with the volume, don't seat guests. Furthermore, if guests are seated at the very far end table of the restaurant, and can clearly see your wait staff do have the free time to chat in between getting drinks and gathering dishes while ignoring every attempt to be reached, don't use the popularity of the place as an excuse. For what its worth, the food looked fantastic."

There appeared hair in the food in my friend's plate and the situation was handled unprofessionally

The pizza was delicious and the prices were quite good. The staff are all very friendly and helpful as we didn't speak french. We loved the decoration also!

This is a great stylish restaurant to be with friends. The food is very good, specially the risotto and burgers. The staff is always in a good mood and receptive. They speak English and Spanish and the service is fast.

The food was cold when it should have been hot and hot when it should have been cold the salad was soggy and the service was terrible. Avoid this restaurant. We left 90% of our meals paid the bill and left. Very disappointing.

All we wanted was a cosey restaurant where we could receive good service, enjoy probably too much wine and savour some well cooked well presented food without prives being too high. This plave was all we hoped for and more, highly recommended.

Hands down 5 stars, try pizza Marco it was amazing. The dough is just right for a typical pizza Romana, thin but not so thin that it tears and a perfect balance of ingredients. The centre was perfect and not soggy and the crust done to perfection. Sorry if I am not posting photos but I devoured the thing before thinking of taking any....

Visited with family, twice for a meal, once for a glass of Muscadet. The beef was a bit tough, but delicious. The peppercorn sauce was amazing. The fries were out of this world. The special of the day, a fish, was only so/so, but the fries again made up for it. Very busy, so plan to be there for a while before you eat; however, if you sit outside, you can people watch while you wait. The prices are reasonable, staff very polite and professional, with some knowledge of other languages. Nothing elegant, but very tasty food, and friendly.

Arrived late and hungry into Nantes after a flight delay and had to find somewhere that would still serve us after 10pm. What a stroke of luck finding La Vespa, the staff were very friendly and welcomed us without any fuss. We were not hurried by anyone into ordering food and our drinks were served straight away. The food itself was very nice, a delicious pizza and a very good steak certainly hit the spot for both of us. Both dishes were more than enough to leave us well satisfied, and the bill was very reasonable. Also a good selection of drinks, again at prices giving value for money. We enjoyed the experience enough to say that we will return here without hesitation on our next trip to Na...

"When in Nantes at the last-minute, I used my TA app on my iPhone to find something great near me. I called, and the person I spoke to couldn't have nicer, and said "come on over". I did. The restaurant was virtually empty, despite the fact that a couple of other places I called were booked solid and had no more tables available. The "acceuil" (welcome) couldn't have been nicer. The choices on offer were a fixed formula of 2 entrées, 2 mains, and 2 desserts. I was told that this was as they use only fresh products. I chose a main of cheese/pesto stuffed ravioli with a cream, tomato and cilantro sauce. It arrived quickly, but was maybe room temperature. The hope of fresh cilantro giving a "twist" to the dish, was there, but a bit in the background. I was a bit disappointed, as I couldn't identify the ravioli as being "home-made". In fact, nothing seemed to be fresh/hand chopped, like the tomatoes. I had the bread pudding for dessert, and it arrived also room temperature, was clearly "home-made" with pears, and clearly bread chunks on the top, with a swirl of chocolate for garnish. It was a bit dry, clearly not made very recently, and the inside (where the bread aspect should have been well-infused), was not throughout. The top of the "cake" had hard, dry bread chunks on it. My impression was that perhaps it was a "slow day", and they weren't putting much effort into it by serving something freshly cooked. There was only one other diner in the place. On the other hand, the serveuse could not have been nicer or more helpful. They feature an interesting international, short wine list with everything available by the glass. The dinner menu (on the blackboard on the wall), looked interesting. I think it merits trying again, if they turn on the stove and start serving food hot off the burner, as the interesting menu seasoning is attractive. Great service, but the food was mediocre this day."
