"Being a coffee snob, I always do my research when visiting an area. This place is associated with a coffee roastery so seemed like a good bet. When we entered I was a bit concerned ; the interior (downstairs) felt like a very dated Fred's...cafe and didn't have the usual look of somewhere that cares about coffee. The staff were all very welcoming so decided to stay. There were a big range of beans on offer but only for cafetiere, not espresso. Found this a little odd as one rarely sees cafetieres now. The flat whites we had were all very well made and the roast was pretty good. Sadly, they only offered semi skimmed milk, this is a crime in good coffee. The whole thing felt a bit mismatched; there are elements that look like they really care about coffee (locally roasted, range of beans, decent barista) but then others that would call this into question (I don't know any artisan coffee expert that wouldn't offer whole milk). Felt very confused by the experience and not sure if I would return or not."

We stopped off for a coffee and a cake, but ended up adding a panini. All homemade foods, fresh coffee. Staff were welcoming, and the owner spent time advising on local walks and cycleways (from leaflets i had picked up at the library). Thank you...for your friendly welcome, on a rainy day in August.

Found by chance while strolling around Louth. Excellent choice by us for lunch. Excellent sweet chilli chicken panini and coleslaw for me and Lilian enjoyed her Lincolnshire Sausage sandwich Fine pot of tea, very helpful friendly service and atmospheric venue. Covid friendly and would definitely...return. Speisekarte ansehen

Larders How lucky we were when we came into Louth, We called into Larders for culinary delights. I perused the short menu, and drooled at the mouth, And looked for vegan choices in their lunch light-bites. Look! There’s beans and baked potato, And baked potato...and beans. There’s beans on there own, and Oh! Just baked potato it deems. Why, there’s no choice on their menu, And, on reflection this means, That Larders, it seems, Doesn’t care about

Being on a staycation we were wandering around town looking for a bite to eat and came across the old warehouse larders. Seating only outside (Covid) and we were sat immediately by exceptionally friendly staff. We had a couple of coffees and scones which were...great and they even whipped up a bacon butty for our dog. The staff were great and the food was excellent and we would highly recommend stopping by! We were even given umbrellas when it started to rain!

This cafe doesn't really offer gluten free. I was offered one cake but I would have liked a bacon sandwich. Bit of a stretch to say gluten free option. It's not gf. We invegiled our way onto a nice leather sofa. Inside is cosy. Seating...outside in the square. Cafetieres of different coffees. Owner very nice. Bacon sandwiches approved by my companion. Came on white bap, not offered other bread. Cafe is working within covid rules so not as relaxed for everyone as it will be once he pandemic is over. I tried Vietnamese coffee. Wouldn't recommend. We came across this lovely eatery after originally making for another tea room...which had closed down...But we are so glad now as it worked out we had found an amazingly staffed, friendly and happy...even on this rainy miserable day...we had our little Yorkie with us,...so sat outside...umbrellas supplied when needed, We were a party of our wee doggy...We ordered our lunch choices and were served quickly and efficiently...Food was delicious, and so were the scones and cake selections...Best of all were the coffees....yummmmm...best we had had in such a long while... We plan to visit again tomorrow when we do a bit more shopping...Hoping to be just as pleased...Pay a visit yourselves...No re...

I'd seen this place on Tripadvisor, so my friend and I decided to pop in for a snack whilst shopping in Louth. We wanted to sit upstairs, and saw an empty table with comfy chairs by the window. But we were told that it was...a table for so we couldn't sit there. We took a table squeezed in at the bottom of the stairs. A waitress took our orders and the order arrived very quickly. We had lattes and toasted tea cakes. Both food and drink were very nice, although I thought the tea cakes were a little thin. If you are a coffee connoisseur, this is a great place to go. There are a lot of options for different coffees from various countries of the world. But I was struck by the lack of any smiles...

"Booked stayed at this place very recently having read the excellent reviews. As a very level headed person, certainly not delusional I failed in trying to recognise or match the place based on any of the reviews posted on Booking.com The place, whilst very quaint appealing from the outside is in direct contrast to the inside! In reality, it 's very much in dire need of deep cleaning, redecorating and refurbishing. The food, not sure who prepared the meals in the reviews I read, but fail to see how it could be the same chef as the one that cooked ours! Our meals arrived no less than 40 minutes after ordering. The drinks to occupy us while we waited never did arrive when our meals finally arrived served (if slapping on the table warrants being called served three out of the five items that made up the meal were uncooked, cold unedible! The excuse given by the waitress, is far too busy and understaffed, yet despite not being able to fulfil the job paid for, they still take fee paying guests who are treated far less than second class citizens to the regular clientele supping at the bar! Far too busy but not enough to stop them from taking longer than necessary to laugh talking to the regulars! Needless to say, we ate at other places for the rest of our stay. DO NOT BE FOOLED, as we were by the reviews, which have stayed are extremely questionable indeed! If one is used to using hostels I can see this could be deemed as good, if not excellent accommodation. On the flip side, if one is used to hotels that are clean customer focused then this hotel (a grand name for nothing more than a public house with accommodation not a very good or pleasant one at that is not the one for you!!"
