"The restaurant is situated in a small street a bit away from the centre. Maybe this is the reason why I only discovered this restaurant only now although I visit Aurillac every year since 2004. The interior and it's decoration is simple and the wood...and beautiful local stones are the stars. The staff is very helpful, friendly and very efficient. We were two and had a main course and cheese. My friend had a salad of warm goat cheese, potatoes, bacon and lattice. It was simple but very nice with good products and a nice dressing. I had a fillet of veal, girolle sauce with a gratin dauphinois. It was delicious. Good quality meat, the sauce had correct consistency and the gratin had the correct seasoning. Portions are also good. To accompany this we choose a small bottle Puisseguin-Saint-Emillion 2006. At 11 EUR it was correct. As we prefer cheese rather than sweet to conclude a meal we took the plate of local cheeses. Unfortunately we could not choose, but the selection was made for us. It contained three local cheeses: Cantal, St Nectaire and Bleu d'Auvergne. The Cantal cheese was in our opinion a shame to be served in its own region. Even in Brussels we can find the same quality. But the St Nectaire and the Bleu d'Auvergne were very good as we are used to eat in the region. Last but not least a small remark about the bread as it was of an excellent quality. And during the coffee paid happily the 57.60 EUR and made plans to return soon this nice discovery."

This restaurant houses a beautiful and cozy courtyard, so you are not afraid to enter. The meal I had was nice and good. Nothing too chic here, just honest good food. I'd like to return next time.

This is an excellent restaurant with an extensive menu, but our favorite items are the cheese and chocolate fondues that have both the best we ever had (and very cheap). The service is friendly and excellent. There is a beautiful outdoor garden.

The quality of the food (meat) was quite good, however visiting with 2 families was difficult due to the long wait before food was served. 1. Long wait 2. A pork dish for a 5 year old was undercooked (pink in the middle) 3. Meat...not prepared as ordered (raw instead of medium) All orders were done in French, by French people

The restaurant was recommended to us by the desk person at our hotel, and it was a very special experience. It feels like a place locals enjoy, as well as visitors to the town, beautifully designed and decorated. Photos are shown on their website. It...has a lot of charm, and a menu we found to have unique selections. We completely enjoyed our dinner that is called pierrades a selection of sliced meats (beef, pork, and duck, in our choice , which you cook yourself at the table on a hot stone. Delicious! (And fun! We 'd highly recommend this restaurant!

We wanted a typical French meal while visiting Aurillac and came across this lovely restaurant on the tour of the town open from 19:00, nice place with a terrace at the back if necessary. Not busy on the Tuesday night when we went ...we had cote de boeuf for two (1kg of tender beef!!! and canard for our mains, and fromage, creme brulee and ice cream for the 3 desserts excellent food, plentiful French wine and unobtrusive service English not great but nor was our French, but we had fun making ourselves understood : next time we will have the fondue which seems a speciality there as is the hot plate cooked thin slices of meat which is done at the table. We hope to return after a very pleasant...

Recommended by the owner of the Chambre d'hôte where we were staying we were so pleased we went here and think it was the best meal we had during a 2 week tour of the Auvergne! It is somewhat tucked away in a side street...but actually in the centre of town and doesn't look very exciting from the outside. The 2 waitresses were charming and efficient and they both worked their socks off during the evening service. The restaurant specialises in pierrades (cook it yourself on a hot stone), fondues and tartiflettes but we chose from the menu carpaccio of duck and gazpacho of mozzarella were both excellent as was the lamb with artichokes cooked two ways. We sat at the back next to the courtyard b...

To explain: the food was good, but the seats that did not padded an elevated front edge in any way were so uncomfortable that we were both moved over the entire meal could not stay for coffee and could really never go back there simply... for this reason. This is a shame as we liked everything else. We had the menu at 29, but noticed that the French almost always chose a la carte. You rarely have three courses. My husband had foie gras lollipops with passion fruits that were absolutely delicious. I had a tomato dish that was light and creamy with a mozzarella mousse. The mains were a little small (although my husband) but enough for me. He had lamb, I had monkfish who had a delicious sauce,...
