"Although my meal, in the end, was delicious, it was a torturous route to get there. Oh, and before I forget, I did send a message directly to the YR via their website ‘contact us’ facility on Sunday 24 Sept, but not so much as an acknowledgement which downgraded my review one star further. I have a dairy intolerance and telephoned in advance to check I could be catered for and was assured I could be. I ordered sea bass and was assured dairy free. It arrived covered in a sauce but again assured it was dairy free. I was suspicious so asked yet again and a second waitress went to “double” check. After a few seconds my plate was whisked away. I was with a group of friends but at no time was any one of us asked about allergies or intolerances. I could have been severely unwell and this is not just about me. I expect better. Room for improvement"

"We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few summers and always make a reservation. We went on a Saturday night and noticed that while there were quite a few people outside in the front, there were not as many inside, which was unusual for 7:30pm. We ordered water (although I dislike paying £4.95 for it when tap water is fine), two large Montepulciano wines, two American Hot pizzas, orange and lemon sorbet (which was delicious), a sambuca, and a double espresso. The total bill came to £96 before tip. The food was good with no complaints, but we experienced mixed service from the waitstaff - one was friendly and even gave us a complimentary grappa when we left, while the other was abrupt. We heard rumors that the restaurant might be changing its name. Despite this, we followed a recommendation and made a reservation for the following two weeks at Pazzia. We hope the restaurant maintains its quality as it would be a shame if it is not the same as before. We will revisit next summer and provide an update."

"2nd time ordering first week didn’t deliver a rice dish and ordered black coconut ice cream but just sent cookie dough instead as changed supplier. This week forgot to included husbands Katsu curry and rice and can’t get through on phone. Very disappointed. I hope you credit me back for this as we paid online when we placed ordered. Still can’t get through on phone and emails not replied to either"

"The restaurant, while aesthetically pleasing both inside and out, is not one that I would recommend. During my lunchtime visit, it took a long time to be served even with their 'butler bell' system. It lacks sufficient vegan options, with only two main dishes on the menu. The vegan burger lacked creativity, and the risotto with sauteed oyster mushrooms was disappointing as it only included one slice of mushroom. The price was expensive for the quality of the meal, with the risotto costing £15.95 and a lime and soda costing £2.20. Overall, I was unimpressed and felt that I could have made a better meal at home. Service was lacking, and I would not return for another meal. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30"

"Robyn Today we were advised we had gone over our allotted 1 hour, which was news to us. Especially as we had just got a new round of coffees and cakes just minutes before. You are the only cafe in the area to limit your table time. We spent £38 over two courses today and were advise we needed to vacate the table as we were over our allotted 1 hour for a couple. If we were four we could of had 1.5 hrs! Is this a new form of discrimination!. So the tables who just had four coffees or the tables with two adults and two babies/children can have longer even though they spend less!. Most establishment that still run a booking facility give you 1.5 to 2hrs. We try to share our business between the local non chain establishments in the area but this event unfortunately removed you from our future locations and recommendations. The Farm shop@ Ashridge Nursery is tops, then Ferny Grove, Oaktree and then Foxes Den. Being told that all places only give an hour for couples by your manage took the biscuit based on where she last worked in a pub. We did some research and did not find any where in the local area doing this arrangement. Also no where on your booking site does it stand out/indicate the limit even in the confirmation email we received."
