The quality of the food and the service is excellent! I tasted the best bouillabaise (fish soup) in this restaurant.

We wandered into Le Bistrot des Viviers because the restaurant we had picked out on Yelp was closedI am glad we did, because the food was very good.

Indeed, although having booked in advance by phone (choisi for the michelin plate), our couple was denied the table on the pretext that one of us (the husband) was in shorts (with 30°), and we were dressed more than properly! lamentable. It's not even a demodized snobism anymore, it's an imbecile segregation. To avoid. Unless you're addicted to ties and other disguises of another time! However, we did not regret, because another establishment of the same level welcomed us very pleasantly.

If you're looking for the high-end gastronomic range, you won't be disappointed and it's clear that we don't go in shorts. Fireplace, air-conditioned room and discrete and attentive service provide a gastronome meal that deserves its michelin mention. nothing that the loams-lodges were already a joy of the palace. If you opt for bouillabaisse, a speciality of the excellent home, have a good appetite, the dish is very generous and the quality of the fish a feast. to accompany the meal the proposed niçois rose was perfect. and for desserts the mille-feuille, the breeze paris and the leafy rhubarb delighted us. after having loved a lunch at the terrace of the bistrot of the vivors (even simpler version address for a also remarkable cuisine), we spent a wonderful evening in this restaurant with chic and warm décor. the waitress, and the lunch waitress who were joining each other from time to time for pleasure, was in the small care, funny, effective and always there at the right time. professionals who love their profession, as we would like to meet more often. we chose the relaxation menu at 44 euros and everything was sumptuous, from the amuse to dessert. we will return with great pleasure during our next nice passage.

We came with great expectations. Recommended by Michelin, and very good reports here. Chef once meilleur ouvrier de France. Opened nearly 10 minutes past 12. Service attentive, this was the best. Wine list could be better. Pricing reasonable. A bottle which is sold for €75 in La Pinede (robber barons in Cap d‘Ail) is €43 No choice of salads. Escalope de foie gras good, but this hot dish is served on marinated salmon, thus spoiling the latter. Carre d‘Agneau turned out to be three slim ribs of a miniature lamb, which is half of the carre. Sauce salty and not convincing. Turbot expensive, not served on the bone, and far from good. A sobering experience. Altogether on the level of a 3 star hote...

Already at the time of booking, I should have suspected that there was a problem, because it is the same number for 2 restaurants and each time I was falling at the brasserie trying to pass the gourmet restaurant to me but without success. After 4 calls, we were finally able to book. The restaurant was full and only 2 people to serve, but considering the speed at which the dishes were coming out, they were probably not enough in the kitchen. We had to wait 30 minutes to order and more than an hour to have the appetizers. So we ate bread, a lot of bread...
