a very good address, the dishes of the day ( grilled sardines, wing of raie) are tasty, the dessert farandole homemade svp. standard breweries do not hold the comparison. efficient and friendly service for a dish dish to loose 15eu.

This is a friendly restaurant with great staff, delicious food and a great view of the castle. We have not felt welcome at several of the restaurants here in Noirmoutier but here was very different and a pleasure to experience. Highly recommended.

We made a very good choice to book in this restaurant on Friday 11/08/17All was perfect: welcome ,servants very friendly, attentive and delicious cuisine we enjoyed the cocktails in particular " castel , tapas ,poissons (daurade et st jacques ) accompanied by delicious sauces , risotto and wok of vegetables and dessertsmon nice brother, very gourmet desserts has regaled

Nine of us booked for dinner. As usual I was the only non-French speaker. Our hosts, who have a home on the island recommended galettes with dry cider. I tired the bouton blonc galette which was delicious. I had a pancake for my pudding, which may seem like a second try at the same thing: but it’s not. The pancakes and the galettes are very different. I had a great view of the castle from my seat.

We like treating ourselves to some good meals out whilst camping in France and we weren’t disappointed by this great find! I had oysters and fish, and my partner had the set menu. Our kids were pleased with their good sized children’s meals (at home they are too small for them these days). The food was tasty and the staff were attentive and friendly. We seemed to be the only English people in there and they were happy to help us translate some of the menu. We’d definitely recommend it for a family meal out. It was nice to see that there were other younger kids there too.

I would definitely recommend dining at le Castel if visiting Noirmoutier-en-I’le, particularly if staying at the excellent L'Île Ô Château hotel next door. We had an excellent meal at a very reasonable (for the quality) price. We had the formule at €27.95 plus a nice Cote du Rhône. For a starter I had the tartare of salmon and St Jacques and my wife had the baked three cheese salad. Both were very good. We both had the tenderloin which was flavourful and lightly done to perfection. A 5 mini desert finish was just right. The service was impeccable and particularly tolerant of our dreadful French! We would recommend reserving a table. It was a Monday night and many were turned away.

Is it because the holiday is coming to an end? Was it because the tripadvisor comments were really very encouraging? who knows. always is it that we remain on our hunger. two children's menus, two adult menus. nothing to say for the children, except for the steaks requested bleeding were served well cooked. In the case of adults, the marinated salmon carpaccio is actually a smoked salmon plate, typical of that sold in supermarket, the accompaniment of one of the dishes is not consistent with the order. foods are generally of good quality and service is correct. but from there to find most of this excellent or very good restaurant, there is one step, that I will definitely not cross

it is about the 10th restaurant we test on the island of blackmail with my companion during our holidays. I'd say the castel is one of the top five. the situation close to the castle is privileged. the room is pleasant and the seats are comfortable. The welcome is quite nice. a very small false note about the service because the entrance arrived while we had not finished the aperitif. otherwise waitresses and the bosses are kind and smiling. details on each dishes are given and it is often "homemade", which is very appreciable. I was a little disappointed by reading a comment from another client on the fact that the fish served is not from the local fishery. It's a shame! if not for the dish...

friendly reception, as well as the manager and the staff. The kitchen is correct and the generous portions. the price of wine is also reasonable. The decor is not what will excite the customer but good the plate remains the main...When I saw bar and "Royal Dorade" on the map I immediately thought of herding. the bar texture then gave me reason. what the boss had the honesty to confirm to me, but I think that a lot of people choose fish by thinking that he just got caught up close to it. Alas, no! I don't understand that because we're not in a canteen and it's a shame not to use local products and thus promote the region.
