"For an improvised evening with friends, we were all pleasantly surprised! A very cowboy and texan atmosphere, even servers had cowboy hats! We were conquered by the offers offered to know 50% on the menus of the map and for two cocktails purchased, a tapas offered but we were not expecting anything. For the aperitif, the mojito mangue cocktail was a very good discovery: a little sweeter than the classic mojito but also much more fruity. We took nachos accompanied by guacamole and quesadillas. The nachos, unfortunately were not very fresh, I think we had an end of the package but the guacamole was excellent and a little raised! The quesadillas were super good by the way, I’m not sure that it goes to the plural since it’s a cake of but or wheat garnished, and very original! In the main course, after a lot of hesitation with the chili con carne, I chose chicken fajitas. It was very surprising, in the right sense of the term: they were to do oneself! A dish with a cheddar sauce, guacamole, safrican rice, tomato sauce and grated carrots was given to us as well as wheat cakes, and then especially the most important: the chicken was placed on a cast iron plate warm enough not to cool with a tomato sauce I think it was well raised but that blends perfectly with the guacamole. In any case, I found this excellent and very original as a way to dispose and serve things. Here are the comments of my friends on their respective dishes: The salmon ceviche was falling on the ground, the salmon was very fresh, it was very well presented and especially very good! The enchiladas were also succulent! It’s very nice to taste because there’s an e? enchiladas with chicken and the other with beef! The sauce was also a little raised and the safry rice was great! The pulled pork was well seasoned, melting and original since we did not know the dish! As for dessert, we took honey caramelized pineapple with a vanilla ice ball and, although we suspected, the honey pineapple mixture was quite sweet but the ice ball soothed. To conclude, the atmosphere was super nice just like the servers that really put us in the mood! Not to mention the prices that were more than affordable. The dishes were delicious and small: all served in cast iron dishes so they remained very hot. I recommend and take the time to write a long and detailed opinion for more visibility by hoping to be able to help the restaurant get to know each other more and gain in reputation! Hait to come back to you when I return to Lyon!"

Reservation with The Fork, so discount of 50 percent for dishes. But on arrival, prices inflated compared to their facebook page which is not correct. The dishes are pretty good, without anything exceptional, nice waitress

At the beginning, we go for the discount with The Fork, and on site we find a friendly restaurant with simple but tastefully cooked dishes. The guacamole was very good. The Ceviche de St Jacques was delicious. I recommend.

It's nice to find a good restaurant Tex Mex, there's not much on Lyon. Cocktails are really good and very tasty dishes, you feel that the products are well chosen. Small flat: it's still a little expensive and there's a lot of waiting, but the friendly welcome helps to compensate.

Reservation will be made by The Fork on Saturday, October 17 at 1 p.m. and we found ourselves in front of a closed restaurant! No answer to the phone, no sign on the door indicating a closure. No cancellations reported, no information given in advance to indicate a sudden closure despite our reservation! Incorrect and irrespective of customers. We went to another Mexican restaurant in Lyon El Sombrero rue Pizay (very good) and that's what we recommend and avoid the Texan Comptoir.

Reservation made on the fork, with the discount of -50%, the dishes presented on the site have tried a lot to me. However sacred surprise at the arrival on site, the dishes had almost increased by 10€ (the discount did not serve much, so go without reservation). With regard to the dishes, the price is much higher than the amount we have in the plate, if I had known the price increase I would obviously not have gone there because 23€ on average it is expensive. Small positive point, the pulled pork is very good.

It's rare that I give such low grades, but now it was beyond the understanding. I think the pictures I saw on the TripAdvisor or Google page of this restaurant are those of the former owner. We had to do to a gentleman of a certain age, alone in the kitchen and to do the service (which must not be easy, I agree) which unfortunately seemed beyond the events. We were given a map in addition to the one on the wall, on which prices did not match for the same dish. I was told that a salmon ceviche was pane salmon. Then I received the ordered poke bowl with a hair in the plate and not marinated salmon. The rest of the dishes were all but until then it was still going. Arrive the moment of dessert...

"My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night (having made a reservation several days in advance), and it was one of the best dining experiences we have had in France in a long time. We reserved for the early seating, showed up on time, and were among the first customers there. We had a small table near the door. The disadvantage is that we were occasionally wafted by a cold draft from the front door. The bigger advantage was that we were sitting near the restaurant's beautiful, precision, hand-operated meat slicer. The specialty starter is beef that has been cured for seven months with seven spices. It is sliced paper thin (and that is no exaggeration) and served heaped on a plate. Heavenly. My wife and I ordered only one of these plates and it was more than ample for the two of us.That was followed by our starters. I ordered the minestrone marocain légèrement épicé comme à Tanger (Moroccan minestrone, lightly spiced as in Tangiers), and my wife the rillettes de crabe aux petits légumes et Granny Smith (shredded crab with little vegetables and pieces of Granny Smith apple). Both were delicious. For our main dishes I had a pavé de cerf (deer steak), which was ample and perfectly cooked. My wife had fish, also cooked to perfection. I don't recall the wine we ordered, but the choice was from wines that were at their peak (not just wines one or two years old), yet the prices were reasonable. One remark about the decore: it manages to be a bit traditional and modern at the same time, with reproductions of paintings by Modigliani and various early 20th-century (mainly French) artists adorning the wall.Overall, a restaurant worth going out of your way for."
