"Le Mordant is situated in Rue Chabrol, next to Frédérique Morrel's gallery and a couple of yards from the Metro station Poissonnière on Rue Lafayette. It's a bit of a yupster place where you can hang out all evening with your wine and charcuterie plate or enjoy dinner. The menu is small and changes almost every day. Definitely a plus as you are guaranteed fresh ingredients. Portions are small, but the suffice. We were a bit disappointed by the razor clams as they weren't washed out well. When we approached the waitress she didn't pick up our complaint well so that was a minus. The Canon d'agneau was tender and delicious. Another plus.I wasn't too impressed with the cheesecake with timut pepper. The spiciness didn't come out. In fact it was just a couple of ground peppercorns sprinkled on top and it could have been any pepper. Also it wasn't the traditional cheesecake, more a creamcake. This dessert was a little minus. However tartuffe de chocolat is to be recommended to any chocolate lover. It's love for the palate. it's a large portion so you can share. Another plusEspresso: not impressed. Not good coffee. The chef is hilarious. If you're lucky he'll bring your plate to your table with a few jokes. A big plus.Overall a good restaurant in an industrial decor. Price per person approximately 70 euro, including a bottle of wine."
