"A wonderful romantic place to celebrate my birthday with my darling. The dishes are delicious, the bar net especially very fresh and the ratatouille (for me who is Niçoise) very successful! We even got to the Norman hole and cheese. Finally the reception is perfect During my next stay in Normandy, we will flee the too tourist restaurants where we are sometimes (not always fortunately) well received, for these places a little more hidden where we feel wonderfully well."

"After visiting the abbey, we found this crêperie, as it was hot for the children to have ice cream, my wife a mojito and I a pressure from abbey. The prices are very correct and the quality of the ice, homemade manufacturing. Everyone in the shade on the grass in front of the restaurant."

"Brionne is a small and sleepy French town, away from the big tourist towns and, therefore, other tourists. Most of the town 's dining opportunities are either high end formal restaurants or very town to earth tabacs; so this place, with its mixture of Crepes and bistro food, was a welcome find. The restaurant caters for customers of all ages, from young people having lunch to large family groups. The owner and her staff were extremely friendly and we were able to practise our French in a very supportive atmosphere- there is an English menu available, if needed. The menu features both a la carte and fixed price options with a plat de jour always being available. We ate a mixture of Crepes and other options- the steak being particularly delicious as is the chocolate mousse. We liked the place so much that we returned for a second time, later in our week 's holiday. If you are in the Brionne area and don 't want to break the bank, I recommend you try this bright and clean little restaurant."

"We try to eat at the Cafe de la Gare every time we visit the area and always enjoyed it. It opens early for coffee etc. but lunch is the main event. The little bar stays open in the afternoon, but I think in the evening. The menu changes every day, and for EUR 13.80 you get a starter, main course and pudding or cheese. Yesterday we had the choice of Camembert Toast with salad, sardine tart or dish of charcuterie to start. Mains were paupiette de veau Sauce Forriestiere, pork with lenses or steak. Ice cream, homemade tiramisu or custard tart to pudding or serve yourself from the cheese plate with a selection of three beautiful looking local cheeses. All fresh at home from ice and cheese. It is popular among local workers and usually busy when not full at noon, although there is usually a table somewhere if you don't mind sharing. In good weather they have some tables outside on the sunny terrace. Monsieur leads the bar and the coffee machine, while Madame runs the restaurant very friendly. It's just what we're looking for in a French bistro, and as I say, we've often been in front of formal logistics down the street. Very recommended."
