Set in the back streets of montpellier just outside the old village this restaurant was quiet welcoming. The friendly hosts although could not speak English, enjoyed a laugh with us made us feel very welcome!

4th time we arrive and 4th time we always have the pleasure of coming to the refectory, whether at the outdoor patio or in the bedroom inside, for a brunch or dinner, it is always perfect for one of the best addresses of Montpellier Speisekarte ansehen

If you're looking for some good French comfort food this is the place! This small restaurant is located in a quiet area a bit north of the old town. It seemed as though the menu varies from day to day but there are always several items to choose from. While the food was great the prices seemed a bit on the upper end.

a warm welcome, an original setting that brings back a lot of memories. we were a group, the restaurant served us with tasteful dishes, nicely decorated despite the strength. The atmosphere of this restaurant, the quality of service, the presentation and quality of the delicious dishes served make me highly recommend this restaurant. This refectory is honoured to its Latin root and has no connection to that of a community. If he wasn’t so far from home, I would have done my canteen.

The only two tables occupied on the night of our visit were in the small garden which on a hot summer 's night might be lovely, but the cool wind made us retreat indoors where we were completely alone. The decor is very basic, presumably to give a 'refectory ' or 'canteen ' feel, which added to the lack of atmosphere. The food, however, was quite tasty. A starter of a thick carrot veloute hiding a goat 's cheese raviolo beneath and topped with crispy bacon was delicious. My prawn, scallop and chorizo main was good and my husband enjoyed his duck with citrus and ginger. The service was friendly but the overall experience was disappointing considering the expense.
