"After reading the reviews, we were quite excited about the prospect of eating here. We have booked in advance what was just as good, because on a rainy night when the outdoor tables could not be used, only pre-ordered customers were admitted. Our starters were good, but not excellent. We then ordered Bavette Steaks who have read enthusiastic reviews here. The very thick of my husband arrived very boiled (he had ordered 'à point), so he asked that he returned to the grill that was made happy, and was very happy with the result after he returned to him. Mine was fine, but not a very excellent dish. The peppercorn sauce and the pommes dauphiniose were very good and made my moderate Bavette at least edible. Desserts were fine, although I am not sure how strawberries and cream with a filling of crushed basaloos biscuits can ever be quite a tiramusù. Maybe our expectations were too high, but this place didn't live entirely to them."

"Warm and friendly welcome from all staff. The cuisine is refined, with fresh produce, cooked just enough to preserve all the flavors and superbly presented. The vegetables are exceptional! Gluten and lactose intolerant, I was able to find a starter, main course and dessert without any problem. I recommend this establishment "

"My wife and I visited this establishment on a Saturday evening in October at about 8pm. We had looked at restaurants in the immediate vicinity and almost all of them were just about empty, yet this place was just about full. We found out why:...The food is great! The couple running the place were very welcoming and although I speak French the man immediately started speaking in English to my wife. We placed an order for food and drinks and the man would not let me pay until I was satisfied that the food was good no problem there, it was delicious! The food came quickly and was hot and satisfying. I would recommend this place for eating on a budget, everywhere else in the immediate vicinity would cost you at least 11€ for the most basic main dish."

"The restaurant is close to the ramparts promenade. The welcome is warm, the pleasant and well decorated place. The prices are correct €24 for an excellent breakfast served with delicious roasted potatoes with beef fat. The small plus, in addition to impeccable cleanliness, a small pot whose label is so labeled Women's Emergency and which contains... a buffer! A big bravo to the whole team. I recommend without reservation."

"It's a mixed impression that we felt when we left the grenouillère. Many positive points like the restaurant room that is beautiful, elegant, especially in the evening, the lighting is thought out and supported, it is almost magical. after a rather surprising arrival - we really wonder if we are in the right place so that the place doesn't look like a hotel-, the reception is very courteous, the 2cv room trip is fun and the staff as a whole is very professional. We were then taken to our suite, located several hundred meters from the restaurant, which we did not know. The suite looks like a small country house. First, we ask for half a bottle of champagne and we're told it's impossible. Too bad, we'll just have a tea (a bag on the courtesy tray). the suite is equipped with two baths, including an already filled outdoor that has ice water. We therefore use the second, but we are quickly plunged into a thick steam cloud due to a lack of vmc. the bathtub is composed of a kind of concrete and the humidity spreads everywhere, large bottle of water in front of the toilet door and the droplets of condensation water. We're looking for bathrobes, which we can't find. I call the reception that informs me that they are given only on request and that we will be brought during our dinner! What interest? I'll say it'll be too late. we are still in a castle relay at 380 euros per night, in a suite around this central bathtub and we have no bathrobes! We don't have a closet either, a very uncomfortable little couch and no shutters in the window. But it's authentic! we return to the hotel for a walk dinner (impossible to park our car near the suite, but on the parking lot located 500 meters), fortunately the rain stopped. the menu that is distributed to us is unreadable for 45 years (! Why write it so small and with a very clear font but it's okay, you trust and don't read it! the rosé champagne of the aperitif is insipid and disappointing (24 euros the cup however). Some mouths are immangeable (skin of langoustin shells. follows a multitude of small bites sometimes disappointing (we really look for the small lobster piece hidden under the slice of sedan), sometimes successful (the meringue goat cheese). the main dish is very good and well decorated with gnocchis with black truffles. The meal is pleasant as a whole, but no explosion of taste. the service is pleasant, our server is user-friendly and accessible. We would especially like to thank the young sommelier who excels in his art, is not avaire of his time and share his experiences and passion for wine with simplicity and sympathy. We were asked twice to meet the chief, we were told that he had not come to greet his guests in the room, but that we could meet him at the end of the meal. It wasn't, we regret it. the next day, breakfast is deposited at the entrance. it is very summary and is not at the level of a castle relay. we have put 4 points for the originality of the experience, but we are far from the other 2 stars we have done previously as the large and beautiful tables of franck putelat (carcassonne), mathieu guibert (near the plain at sea), serge vieira ou christophe haye at home next to. We regret not having been able to discuss it with the chief."
