"Although they were out of secca, the local speciality, the staff had other suggestions. So I had the trout, which was delicious. As dessert I had the typical tropezienne cake, which also was excellent. The waiters are very good and friendly so I had a very nice experience here in the heart of Entrevaux. Strongly recommended!"

"the welcome is quite nice, although lacking enthusiasm and dynamism. the terrace is pleasant. If you take an aperitif (which is half cheaper at the coffee in front) don't count on a saucer of olives or chips, or even peanut.Then you are quickly warned, in the menu at 24 € the entrance is a "small plate". Finally, it turns out to be enough, since this dried beef, speciality of the village, has nothing transcendent. It's best, to my taste, a good slice of ham in the countryside with a little butter and pickles. The dish of the day passes. I note I asked for fries and no salad. Of course I have fries and salad. The dessert (tiramisu) is correct, though a little too sweet. The white country is hard to drink without a little cream of blackcurrant to make it feel (thank you to the waitress for graciously bringing me a dose of blackcurrant, not billed. I hope it wasn't a forget, because thanks to that I put 3 out of 5 instead of 2). but the carafe is served just fresh, fortunately I'm brought with ice. on the other hand, the table next complains about the lack of freshness of the wine. And the lady never saw her dish coming, we forgot her order. Let's pass, these are things that can happen.At my right, a couple of tourists wait a quarter of an hour without anyone coming to see them after they have installed them. They finally leave without eating. I make a few remarks that I wanted to make the boss feel constructive by paying the bill. I'm told that there's only me who thinks I'm saying, that all the other customers are happy. Everything's fine, sleepy to say that the terrace is full. the nice train worthy has poured out to intervaux, on this sunny Sunday of July, a wave of tourists and places of restoration are not very numerous."

"Set in a quiet street just up from the church, this is an unpretentious place serving delicious galettes, crepes and, of course, cider. There are some outside tables where you can sit and relax after the fairly strenuous ( but worthwhile) hike up to the castle. The service is efficient and friendly and the food is what it is - perfect comfort food that the whole family will enjoy. One big bonus: it's open later in the afternoon than the other restaurants in Entrevaux, for which we were thankful otherwise we faced a trip back to Nice with empty stomachs....Entrevaux is a great place to spend a few hours, with a hike to the castle and a walk round the ramparts essential. But if you have faced the tourist-heavy villages like Eze and St Paul de Vence, this will be a pleasant change. A normal place where people live, with houses (not art galleries), narrow streets and terrific views."
