"My niece wanted to book a surprise meal for my sister her mum, so she looked at the menus of pubs in a 10 mile radius of where they were staying. She chose the stiperstones as the menu catered for her Lactose gluten intolerance and being vegan it restricted most down considerably but not Stiperstones. We arrived a bit late which wasn't a problem and were shown to our table and given menus which were amazing, they really did have everything. The staff were amazing, the service was fantastic and the food was excellent. The one girl there really went above and beyond for my niece when asking about desserts, so much so she went into the kitchen and created an amazing dessert especially for my niece and it was amazing. How many restaurants/ pubs/ cafe or anything would do this, none that i've ever been to. What an absolutely amazing thing to do and it totally made my nieces night and tasted amazing she said. The bill came and we couldn't believe how cheap it was too, the owners should be super proud of an amazing team they have. Thank you all"

"I had a fantastic meal here on Sunday. The food was delicious, and there was nothing that I found bothersome. I loved that they offered smaller versions of the adult meals for kids, like pizza instead of the usual chicken nuggets. The steak and stilton pie was excellent, and my steak came with the most exquisite pepper sauce I’ve ever had. The restaurant is located in a beautiful setting, and I will definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful experience!"

"@stablesinn has been at the heart of the community since 1680 and is described as a pub that celebrates standing still, an oasis of calm in an ever changing and busy world and we couldn’t agree more! 5 5 Recommend Price Finding somewhere like this is one of the perks of being food obsessed. The menu suited the feel of the place and was dominated by traditional pub grub and warming homemade pies made using locally sourced ingredients. Pies all round and between us we tried them all. Steak and Shropshire blue Stilton had all the depth of flavour you would hope for in this hearty dish. Yes it could have taken more Stilton but who cares it was delish. Chicken leek and bacon pie was not for the faint hearted, perfect for those who love rich and creamy sauces. Finally the mixed mushroom and Gruyère pie, again heavy on the cream but great flavours, all topped with light, crisp puff pastry. Our meals were served with a choice of potatoes (we opted for chips to mop up the gravy) and fresh vegetables. This was all about the hearty traditional home cooking and we certainly felt warm inside like we’d been wrapped up in a cosy blanket. Bron and Nat have created home from home and we could have spent many more hours in front of that huge roaring fire with the pub dog. For the overall experience it has to be 5 5 we loved it from the minute we walked in to the minute we had to tear ourselves away. For us thestablesinn has everything you could hope for in a traditional country pub and for anyone staying over there are rooms or a shepherds hut complete with spectacular views of the countryside, great for visitors to the area. Definitely one to put on your list and let’s face it what could be better after a walk in the beautiful Shropshire Hills.
