"We were out on a drive to discover more of the countryside north of the Lubéron Regional Park and came across this village. This time in France we have made a point of eating at Bistrots de pays, to try and experience a less fine dining cuisine, as we find fine dining is usually not good value for money. We saw the menu du jour at €13 and went straight in and through to a terrace at the back with dappled shade. The welcome we received was friendly and the service was good. A starter of a light vegetable quiche and a small salad was followed by fillet of pork with a rataouille and split peas flavoured with cumin lovely! A choice of dessert (we had chocolate mousse and creme caramel) it was all very tasty, home cooked food served with a smile. We would recommend it to anyone."

Our French is not the best but the waiter made us very welcome and organised a table on the terrace even though we had no reservation. The Menu du Jour at was excellent and the pichet of rosé at was great value....The service was friendly and relaxed it was a great lunch experience in a beautiful village that we will repeat when we are next in Montbrun-les-Bains. Merci beaucoup L'O Berge De L'Anary! Speisekarte ansehen

My husband and I waited to be seen for atlas minutes before we walked in, a lady in front asked for a table for (in French) and was seated immediately, we asked (in very bad French/ English) and were told that the restaurant...was full even though they had free tables the back. We said that we'd have a drink and wait but were told no. My advise, DO NOT go here and walk one minute away to Creperie le Bilig (Rue de L'Autin) the waiting staff very friendly and the food was incredible E for courses)

On a bicycle trip we stopped for lunch here (as we did years ago). The daily lunch menu was basic and inexpensive but just what we needed. We had an Italian salad (tomato mozzarella) , lasagna and an ice cream and drank a decent...rosé (which surprisingly was served from a bottle and a very good one too Domaine du Rieu Frais). Each course was simple but well made and value for money wise we got a very good deal. This is the kind of lunch address you would want right around the corner from where you live.

"For this years Father's day we decided to go for lunch in the small but beautiful village of Banon. We have been there many times since wandering around the hills of the Haute Provence is a rare delight. So used to be lunch in the...local restaurant The Voyageur.. I had reserved a table outside so all started out well there was sun, a bit of wind and a cycle tour that was going to pass for our entertainment. So we ordered a beer and a glass of white wine and studied the menu. The beer appeared after about a minute and the wine never appeared. We asked twice, the waiter nodded and disappeared. My wife had the warm goat cheese salad and I took the lamb, with a glass of red wine. We waited over 40 minutes, the white wine was still invisible and cycle tour had passed. The restaurant started to empty and we were still waiting, and waiting. Finally the food arrived with two glasses of red wine. Apparently white wine is inhibited here. We almost send the food back burt were afraid for another hour wait and we were hungry. We should have send it back. The salad was just that no dressing, no vinegar, no oil, no salt, no pepper, no nothing beside a small piece of luke warm goat cheese and a part of an old tomato. May be it was the outside temperature that kept the cheese warm? The lamb must have been in its older years a mutton steak at best but hard to cut and even harder to digest. We drank our wine and decided to order a local Banon cheese for dessert. It never came but we were presented the bill instead which included the glass of white wine.. We felt very disappointed and decided that was it no more Voyageur for us, certainly not in summer when service is non existant."
