L'Orangeraie - Speisekarte

Very nice waitress, food is ok but not a 4 *. Friendly staff and average breakfast, they did not have any croissant so they allow us to get some from the bakery right at the next corner.

we had a wonderful lunch in L’Orangeraie, which served good dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients. among the tourist crowded places on porquerolles this was a true peaceful oasis to lunch, on their beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view of the harbour and the sea. I'll be back in a definitiw!

we had incredibly happy to get a table yesterday and enjoyed an excellent meal at a beautiful place. the burger I ate was raised. the only part was our waitress, who ever was so easily impatient when one of us asked about one of the...desserts. beautiful table with beautiful view. friendly staff and local products (beer and wine) on the menu. the eating was great and very well presented. 4 out of 5 because they too many things like forget: opening the water bottle, bring brot to wein before the dishes arrive apart from this very good and beautiful place.

We Love the Island of Porquerolles very, very much. It is just pure Côte d azur. The travel By boat, an Island without Cars, the wonderful Award Winning beach.... And... take a Rest at l orangeraie. Just sit there, Drink something, watch the Crowd... The...Service was quick, the prices okay (for a Tourist Hot Spot). But 4 stars just for the unforgettable feeling to be there. Thats it!

This was an unmemorable experience despite the delightful view over the harbour on the island of Porquerolles........decent enough service from the owner but the barbecued pork, a restaurant speciality, was perhaps the very fatty French version of spare ribs..........not what was expected (or meaty) and hidden under the darkest of sauces. Plenty of competition exists in the port at which to throw the not inconsiderable cost of the evening and it definitely won't appear on my list for a return visit. Speisekarte ansehen

Upon the suggestion of our hotel concierge we stopped in the afternoon to check it out. Delightful Tomas let us walk around and showed us the outdoor dining area at the rear of the restaurant. We chose our table and returned for a terrific dinner of local, very fresh fish. Just a few steps from our hotel we couldn't have been happy. Tomas was over the top friendly, a professional who spoke beautiful English, and as you know, the server makes all the difference for a dining experience.We could not have been happier. It was the perfect choice.

We visited the restaurant three times during our visit, twice for dinner and one for drink after a less fortunate dinner elsewhere. The food and staff is excellent! They really care about detail, from the size of the bubbles in the sparkling water (Orezza, from Corsica) to the crystallised pineapple slice on the cocktail glass. The tuna sashimi on vegetables was excellent, the octopus a la provençale as well. The Hereford entrecôte had lots of fat, as should be expected. The second day the food arrived before we had finished our cocktails and the waiter forgot our wine, but the food was so great that we did not care much about that. Linguine in homardine sauce with king prawns can be recomme...

Having been made to sit outside as we had not booked, and noting that the warm restaurant was only half full, we huddled in a mistral and ordered soup which was nice, followed by a John Dory fish which had been poached for so long...it had an unpleasant taste and texture. When we talked with the waiter about it we were told that it was perfectly fine and there was nothing they could do about it. The waitress said she didn't like her customers to be unhappy and so there would be a delicious pudding waiting for us. We ordered the chocolate desert which was very nice and some desert wines to go with it, she encouraged us to taste two of them which we did and then ordered one we liked and 2 liqu...
