One of the few restaurants available in this neighbourhood if you want to change from the italian down the street. The food was ok but we waited for an hour and saw people that came after our group getting served before us. The portions were...ridiculous for the price we paid although of good quality. Will definitely not go there again

My teen daughter and I had the best French Vietnamese food here it's tiny, informal and the owners are wonderful the food was amazing we highly recommend it. We thought it was going to be a cheap poh hole in wall. No, there were too many well to do French locals. No pho. Appetizers of Papaya salad and fried dumplings were good, but our entrees were small portions. Noodles were greasy. Lemon...chicken tasted slimy. Beef was EUR for lunch. This is clearly no longer a vietnamese restaurant but the new Chinese owners still keep on the walls the photos of the previous Vietnamese chef/owner with the many famous politicians and celebrities. The portions are small and the dishes are fake Chinese creations dishes...that I have never see/eaten before in an authentic Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant. Classic Vietnamese dishes are not even on the menu. Don't waste your money here

This was one of the only places open and near to our hotel. We would have done better to wait for breakfast. The food was mediocre and expensive and was with served stale, crusty rice by a surly old man. We have good, fresh Vietnamese...food in Hawaii. This place would not survive here. Amazingly enough, there are photos of the grumpy Chinese owner with past presidents. The place was almost empty--at the same time almost full--because it is very small and claustrophobic. There are Viet Namese restaurants, and then there is the Lotus Blanc. Its proprietor, who is host, server and sometimes chef, has made of this very modest-looking restaurant not far from the Assemblée a true temple of Southeast Asian gastronomy. He has been at it...for several decades, such that photos of him and his beautiful wife, with at least the past three French presidents and other politicos, adorn the walls. Cambodian by birth, he has developed dishes of a sophistication that surpass all other Viet Namese or Thai restaurants I have tried.
