Lucky Days - Speisekarte

We used to rely on lucky days for a good value tasty meal. Last one sweet sour balls under cooked, no sauce with balls, need to work hard to regain reputation.

The title says it all the best Chinese Takeaway in town! I've been using it for years. I've tried ALL the others there are plenty for a small town but this is the best.

Nice food, menu ok but would like to see some more traditional dishes on which don't seem to be available anywhere in Retford for some reason. Sometimes it could do with being hotter Speisekarte ansehen

Just had a lovely takeaway as the one we usually use isn't open on Mondays. So glad we did as we will now be regulars, haha. Delicious. The garlic fried rice is a must have it came in less than minutes, piping hot.

Fantastic take away, best for miles around. We travel mile to get a takeaway from here. Fried rice is amazing, white and fluffy none of that brown dry stuff you often get in Chinese takeaways. Spring role's are awesome.

Just had a takeaway for four from Lucky Days and it was delicious. The Chile beef and special chow mein was exceptionally good. The king prawn in black bean sauce had a larger amount of succulent prawns. Really good value for money and excellent service...from the young lady behind the counter. Speisekarte ansehen

Just came our of hospital and my lovely and thoughtful partner got a Chinese in, she decided on luckys as she's never tried it before, Kung po special was tasty and with that little kick, prawns however in it was just mush, chicken in satay...sauce was good, the rice was good despite we asked for fried and got boiled egg rice, beansprouts was lovely, the aromatic crispy chicken however was the winner by a mile, give it a go, was beautiful..... All in all very satisfied

Used to go here before current management. Went recently. Food is vomit inducing. Literally. After having to wait nearly an hour as I was only a walk-in though I at least expected nice food. No. The service is poor. Deliveries and collections take precedence over...casual walk-ins and the customer service is dismissive and rude. Could be forgiven if decent food. DO NOT go here. DO NOT recommend. Unless you enjoy staring at your lavatory bowl for over an hour. Nearly as long as the time I was expected to wait.

We used to buy food from here quite regularly but as you do we moved on to other things so when we decided we were going to have a takeaway on Saturday we thought we would go for Chinese and went for the old favourite....Well, something seems to have changed. I can’t quite put my finger on it but the best description I can give is “bland”. The mushroom noodles always had a lovely smokey aroma and taste, but not now. It might just have been a one off or a bad night in the kitchen but it might be a while before we go again. Speisekarte ansehen
