"A few restaurants across from our hotel had us craving Chinese food, and we landed upon Mandarin de Paris. Cute little corner spot, fairly small, I'd imagine it is a family/couple owned restaurant, with the wife taking care of the house and the husband cooking the dishes. On vacation, we noticed the many folks inside who spoke French, though the server spoke English also, and the easy/friendly menu. My husband and I shared an order of pork and shrimp dumplings (4 pieces), Cantonese (fried) rice, Beef Noodles and Caramelized Pork (when investigating local restaurants we saw this a on a variety of menus and decided to give it a try). The dim sum was fantastic, great flavor with the added sauces with appropriate portion sizes. The fried rice, with egg, ham and peas was light and tasty. The noodles were thinner than ramen and served with beef, a variety of vegetables and sprouts, the flavor was very tasty. The caramelized pork - slivered pork slices served in this sauce was complex and flavorful, particularly when eaten with the cilantro garnish. There were other Thai and specialty items on the menu as well. We shared a bottle of the house wine, all for under 60 Euro. The restaurant is located near a series of other Asian-inspired restaurants just a few blocks from a lot of touristy spaces, but felt very secluded and relaxing. We enjoyed a wonderful meal!"
