Manor Chinese Takeaway

Chicken and bean sprouts- absolutely awful. All covered is some gluttoness jelly like a coloured wallpaper paste. No taste and inedible.

Second time of using manor under new owners. First was poor. This tho was shocking. My wife could not eat any of it. I phoned them to say the duck was awful and we did not eat it. I took it back the next day for a refund of £20. Will never use them again. Whole meal cost £55.

This used to be a good takeaway, but is now under new ownership. It has a Food Rating of 1 so we no longer use it as friend have had tummy upsets. The shop refuses to put the food rating certificate in the window. I wonder why! Better to buy a ready meal from Tesco next door. Speisekarte ansehen

I don't understand the positive reviews, as the food at this restaurant was disappointing. The spare ribs were tough and lacking sauce, the chow mein was bland, and the chili chicken had no spice. I wish the food had been better, especially since I live nearby. I will continue to order from Bens in Nailsworth instead.

Just had another delicious takeaway from Manor Chinese. We enjoyed: chicken curry; Singapore vermicelli ; smoked chicken strips; King prawn (Hong Kong style); chicken satay on skewers; chicken chow mein; and egg fried rice. Every meal was delicious. Not even one spot of grease on plates. Highly Recommended. We've never had a bad meal from them.

It is difficult to describe just how awful the food is from this outlet. It seems to me that the food was cooked some considerable time ago, then frozen, then reheated. The dishes did not represent anything that we would normally recognise from a Chinese menu. Not cheap, not edible, not acceptable at all, and the place should be closed so as to protect others. My partner and I had takeout on Thursday after a rough day. We called in our order around 6 o'clock and were told it would be ready in 7 minutes. I asked if I could pick it up in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, it was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. It was bland, dry, and one of the dishes was so bad it was like eating glue. I'm not sure if we will be returning to this restaurant for another meal. Sorry.

I rang them and told them that the cucumber and spring onion which came with the half crispy duck was turning to liquid as it had either been badly refrigerated or was old. Also the rice had started to go crispy around the edges. Which also suggests that it is not fresh. The operator on the phone told me that the vegetables are free so I can’t complain about them. I pointed out that they are not free as I paid for the meal; and they should check the rest of their stock. She said “whatever” and slammed the phone down on me.

I ordered 1/4 aromatic crispy duck, chicken in black bean sauce, crispy shredded chili beef, egg fried rice, and extra sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The duck consisted of only 3 tablespoons of deep-fried bits in batter, the beef strips were not crispy despite a short car journey home, the rice seemed reheated and was not freshly cooked, and the sweet and sour sauce was gloopy. I had high hopes for a great takeaway experience after hearing about the previous one being dreadful, but I will not be returning. Speisekarte ansehen
