Best fish and chips and chicken , even asked if wanted mild or medium curry sauce , highly recommended, lovely chatty young girl served us

Literally just finished my last bit of fish chips and had to write this review. Chips tasted so fresh and not too greasy. Fish tasted like it had just been caught. Well done guys

Oversell pretty poor. Portion sizes were very small. And varied a lot. Sausages were raw and not nice to eat at all.. prices were good but I guess you get what you pay for.. disappointed on this visit. Speisekarte ansehen

Happy that I could have chips cooked separately as I am a vegan. Happy that our friend could have salt but no vinegar on his cod and chips. Mushy peas were good. Service was good and prompt. Thank you.

What a brilliant chippy. Very friendly service. Cooked my fish freshly while I waited. Gave me a free cup of tea. Food was first class. Would highly recommend a visit here. It’s open all year round including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

When for food the after the fireworks tonight the food was amazing fresh tasty curry was stunning definitely best chip shop in porthcawl and good prices I definitely go there again.they need this fish and chip shop in treco bay they make a killing in the Square Speisekarte ansehen

Took my father for a morning out at Porthcawl usually had for years fish n chips at beales thought we try mansels glad we did absolutely best fish n chips me and dad agreed knock spots of beales staff was friendly even offered free tea or coffee I would recommend them.

Great service and the best chips around. Mansel’s are one of the few places we know of that serve GLUTEN FREE fish and chips. We visit regularly as my wife has coeliac disease. We recognise that Mansel’s is a “SAFE” place to eat as the staff are very good at ensuring that there is no cross contamination with gluten containing products. Not only is it “safe” for coeliacs, the food is of the best quality and the gluten free batter on the fish would rival any gluten alternative.

Highly impressed with Mansels! As a Coeliac it’s very risky and worrying eating out because of lack of awareness and cross contamination. The last time I got a chippy from a different coastal Chip Shop I ended up very ill. So I was apprehensive but read the reviews and decided to try. My whole family and I loved the food so much we went twice during our holiday. The young man with the beard gave great customer service too and the free Coffee and Tea while we were waiting was great also. Would recommend to anyone Gluten Free or not! Speisekarte ansehen
