Master Builder - Speisekarte

Went here for my Birthday and the food and the staff were amazing and made my day very special. It was easy to book table for 9 people (unlike other pubs in area) and I'm glad I chose there. I will definitely be going back.

The pub is now under new management and last night they featured Delvis singing hits from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. He was fantastic! My husband and I made a reservation and enjoyed a delicious meal. We highly recommend this pub.

Went this evening for a couple of drinks and some dinner. Can honestly say the new landlord and landlady are a breath of fresh air into a lovely well presented pub. The old landlord ran this place in to the ground but now this establishment is like a whole new place. Lovely owners and great food. Reasonably priced food and drink and a welcoming atmosphere. I went to this restaurant for lunch and ordered the beer battered cod and chips. I had to wait a long time for my meal, and when it finally arrived, the batter on the fish was burnt to a crisp and only covered a small piece of fish. The chips seemed like they had been reheated and were not crispy at all. The only thing I enjoyed on my plate were the mushy peas, which I suspect were from a tin or frozen. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal for £14.99.

Oh dear as it’s local we decided for my birthday lunch . We asked for latte was told machine was temperamental and might take 10 minutes. We opted for tea. We were given mugs and told to help self! The urn wasn’t even ready lovely white scum over top of tea. I ordered ploughman’s which was a experience 2 massive pickles massive amount of pickle branston and piccalilli very small amount of cheese ham and salad. To summarise not anything that remotely looks like a ploughman’s. Part baked roll

I highly recommend this restaurant for a wake. The landlady, Lorraine, prepared a delicious buffet for us. I requested afternoon tea style food and was pleased with the dainty sandwiches, homemade Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle cake, scones with jam and cream. Unlimited coffee and tea were available for self-service. The bar offered drinks and the grandsons even played a few games of pool. The staff was efficient and unobtrusive. This pub is my local and I stopped going there due to the attitude of the previous Landlord, which was horrendous! However, the pub has been taken over by a lovely couple called Boo and Jaime and they are wonderful hosts. Now when you walk in, you see friendly faces from all of the staff and nothing is too much trouble. They still have the delicious Carvery on a Sunday and a new menu through out the week. I can especially recommend the home made Steak Pie and also the Beer-Battered Fish and Chips (all cooked fresh and the fish was delicious). The atmosphere in the pub has now drastically changed for the better and it is a pleasure to go in there and always see smiling faces.

I have used this pub for a number of years, mainly to its location and being dog friendly. The atmosphere at time could have been better though and personally I would have liked some things improved. Now under new management with a fantastic turnaround of atmosphere and ambiance, so much better and it shows with the different cliental now frequenting. A fresh outlook with decor and adorning of old craftsmen tools and old pictures. Even the dreary back wall in one bar has become colourful by being decorated with old beer tap fronts. The menu is adequate with enhancement in future plans. This is early days for the new team but one can see that little acorn developing for sure. It's still very...

Such a shame. We went here today knowing it had new owners on the anniversary of my grandads death and the owner “boo” was so rude to my mum. I ordered a large glass of Chardonnay for my mum she poored the glass and there wasn’t enough for even a medium. I took it to my mum thinking she would be ok with that but as she wanted another glass later she asked to change it to a red (as no one wants to mix a white and red wine) When my mum asked if it’s possible to change it (as it was under the medium measure she said she wanted to have another glass after so could she please have red instead) she had such an attitude and said “ur paying for that still” my mum who was already emotional was so tak...
