"I visited Matthews Kitchen about two years ago when it first opened and had the opportunity to stop by last night for a quick bite. It was fantastic! I had the smoked squid on a bed of maize, topped with crispy bacon slivers, and it was to die for. I asked for the sauce on the side, and I was glad I did, as I enjoyed the dish so much that I didn't need much sauce. My partner ordered the pub-style linguine, which was also delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was friendly, and the value was great. Definitely a place worth a visit!"

I had a wonderful meal three weeks ago, and today was just as fantastic. The waitress was beautiful, the service was great, and the food was delicious—without being too hot like some places tend to be. It’s a lovely, elegant restaurant.

We had a brilliant meal here last night. Oysters were sweet, mussels were full of their nutty flavour with lovely creamy sauce and fries cooked to perfection, whilst cod with chorizo was simple but brilliantly executed. We were a bit nervous as brand new restaurant but definitely would recommend now!
