Maximo's Italian - Speisekarte

my man and I visited maximos for Sunday dinner on 27th this month. I just want to say that it is the best Sunday dinner we spent in a long time. eating and presentation were excellent and very cheap!

Lovely food and welcoming staff. Despite being really busy we were able to get a table and were served quickly. The food itself was good with reasonable portions and quite affordable. Would definately go again

this is a local kitchen that always produces good food. the atmosphere is very welcoming and the personal is professional and courteous. the menu is varied and well done! well done to all involved and we will be back! Speisekarte ansehen

Had a lovely meal here recently, food was spot on, reasonably priced especially on the happy hour menu and portions just the right size. Drinks were quite expensive though. Staff were attentive and friendly. Could not fault it to be honest

Second Sunday in a row at Maximos and both were excellent. Their traditional Sunday dinner is fantastic with great veg and lovely meat. Went for an Italian option this Sunday which was also really good. Good service too. Have never had a bad meal here,...so glad they seem to have survived lockdown.

It wasn't busy but service was slow. We have been numerous times over a few years but today was not good. Food was a bit weird tbh. Burger was full of a strange herbie taste and what was supposed to be a picante calzone was...a lump of bland bread. No second drink was offered and staff seemed more interested in each other than us. 40 quid lighter we left. Shame. That's not the usual standard Speisekarte ansehen

Called in with my wife Christine for a tea time treat and we werent disappointed. Fisrt time here and caught the happy hour special menu where we opted for prawn cocktail and myself the fish cakes and tartar sauce which were both delicious. We both...went for the same mains of Maximo steaks and cream , garlic mushroom sauce with chunky chips, food was great and so was all staff , service was excellent and we will return.

flawlessly from beginning to warm welcome then drink menu in quick success starter of fishcake very good big diving sauce followed by steak perfectly boiled medium rare for me huh for my wife, the steak was great and a decent part. the chicken was just small on early bird menu the next order of the chips seasonal vegetables very freshly cooked, the rest of any good cook he or she can cook a steak sounding bright yes the sauces for both dishes to die for a great birthday tasty bites for my wife would highly recommend very clean and fantastic attentive staff well made all and management

We had made a reservation for a table of 8 in advance, but upon arrival we were asked to wait outside until the table was ready. We were eventually seated and ordered drinks, only to be told we were at the wrong table and had to move. We waited a long time for our drinks, and two were missing and had to be reordered. Our starters were good, but we waited over an hour for our main courses which were disappointing - one was overcooked, the dessert was burnt, and another dish was served cold. After a 2.5 hour meal, we gave feedback to the owner but they did not seem interested. It was a shame that such a nice place could not provide good service, and unfortunately we will not be returning. Speisekarte ansehen
