had lunch today and it was nice! the personal was friendly and the service was fast, although the restaurant was pretty busy. I will go back there definitiw.

Menus delivered to our village food looks lovely. However it was Impossible to order online. Very unhelpful staff when I phoned. Ordered an Indian takeaway instead. £75 lost from your takings

It’s such a pretty restaurant and the food is good but the service is abysmal. At several points during our visit, multiple wait staff were standing around playing with their phones or looking off elsewhere. No attention is given to guests and staff seemed to...deliberately avoid making eye contact with diners! It took 15 minutes for someone to take our order and a similar amount of time to pay the bill. They’ve got plenty of staff it’s just the staff aren’t trained or managed properly.

mevan has been in dunstable for over 7 years and has a better penetration atmosphere than the local Mediterranean restaurants we have to offer here. eating is also beautifully aromatized and seasoned, not over salted....Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food! alex the Barman/Water/competer has been there every time and is the heart and soul of mevan, great service and tasteful humor and sweat. He works very hard and it shows in the service he gives to take our apologies for so long to recognize his service especially!

The food was excellent, the waiting staff were good. We booked a table for 5 people the staff seated us in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The main course arrived for 3 of the group the food for the other 2 took a further...25 minutes to arrive (the 3 of us had finished our meal). My elderly mother in law (85 years old) ordered the prawn dish which arrived with the shell, legs and tail still on which was a very messy affair to peel and eat. We have used this restaurant several times in the past but will probably not use it again. If you do not have the staff take less bookings!

we recently visited mevan for dinner with friends, we sat upstairs between 2 big tables, so it was very loud. the decor is beautiful, the personal was friendly and attentive enough when considering how busy the restaurant was. my partner had to send his cocktail back. but he was fixed without problems. no trouble on eating. when we came to pay the bill, we noticed that there was no service fee, so discussed how much to supplement when the waitress told us not to disturb as they did not get any tips, the owners pocket them all? we offered to give their money, but they went back politely.

I live locally and this restaurant used to have a good reputation, I wish I had checked the reviews on TripAdvisor before booking this time!! We ate here on the 17 March. The King prawn starter is served in the same sauce as the grilled...octopus main, but the menu states they are different sauces but they weren't, maybe they couldn't be bothered that night! The monkfish pieces' is served with mashed potato but not stated on menu and it would appear nearly all seafood dishes are served like this. Why? The Tirimasu had visible mould on it!! Disgusting! The creme brulee was rock hard all through. I will not eat here again.
