There was plenty of vegetarian options, the food came out within 15 minutes and it was all delicious. £50 for a meal for 2 and you can bring in your own bottle of alcohol for a charge of £4 per person. The staff were so kind and helpful too, I highly recommend. Speisekarte ansehen

We arrived early evening to see signs stating that they accept cash only. My husband asked for directions to tge nearest cash machine and the waitress was pointing wildly. He tried to clarify her directions and she continued to be extremely rude pointing and raising her voice. We did not stay and would NEVER go back.

I ordered a sesame prawn toast that claimed to be gluten free. No Prawns in sight. I could have made better in a toaster. The measly piece of salad looked like it came out of a rabbit cage. I dared to take a bite and regretted. I walked out and chose not to wait for the main dish as I did not intend on visiting the hospital

I visited Mein Tay with my friends and witnessed the most appalling behaviour I have ever experienced in a restaurant. A gentlemen came in and sat at a table, there were only eight of us in the whole restaurant. The waiter Mac, was in the kitchen when the gentleman came in, he marched over to the gentleman and berated him for sitting at the table. I have never witnessed such disgusting behaviour. I advised the gentleman to leave as Mac was continuing to be incredibly rude to him when he bought over the menu. On the menu on Uber eats it has a “new vegan section” I ordered three things off of it and when they arrived two of them contained meat (the bun hue and vegan pork). I called up and didn’t eventually get a refund but no one apologised that I had already eaten some of the “vegan pork”. At first they denied that the menu says vegan, even though it was literally written on my receipt? As I say the women on the phone really didn’t understand the gravity of what she had done to me as I had chosen not to eat meat for the past 8/9 years and didn’t seem to feel responsible for it at all. Mien Tay is a casual dining Vietnamese restaurant with a vast menu — and several veggie options (primarily consisting of tofu). A group of around 6 pax, we ordered a salad, 3 appetisers, and 3 mains with some noodle/rice dishes to share. The hot dishes were served piping hot, and most of them were quite flavourful. The papaya salad, in particular, was quite refreshing. On the other hand, I would strongly suggest skipping the veggie summer rolls — they were bland, and could not be saved by the dipping sauce either. When you dine out, it’s not just about the food but the experience as well. While we enjoyed the food (though perhaps a bit on the salty side) our experience at Mien Tay was quite poor. While the tables around us got their food within ten minutes, we were left waiting for more than 30 minutes for our meal to arrive. We ordered a couple of beers, a starter, and a main. However, from the moment the order was taken to its late arrival we were not once visited by our server – never to say that the food was going to take a bit of time nor that it was almost done.
