Vecchio adagio che, da residente in zona, ben si adatta alla scoperta di questo locale, l 'ambiente è molto carino, informale e originale, ti sembra di fare un salto nel passato di qualche decina d 'anni, servizio cortese, puntuale e con quel tanto di spontanea simpatia che ti fa sentire proprio bene. Il menù è su due filoni: uno orientaleggiante che proveremo la prossima volta, l 'altro più 'italianeggiante ' ma con delle rivisitazioni stuzzicanti, tutto all 'insegna del gusto abbinato a leggerezza, ampia scelta di vini anche al bicchiere e prezzi assolutamente onesti in linea con la qualità."

The best vegan poke! Each Poke can be made vegan (with roasted tofu). It is also possible to order vegan Italian dishes, just ask what is vegan from the ITA menu.

Amazing little hole in the wall... found it on some blogs and it totally worth it! Small family business that is simple and yet delicious. The best part has separated the meat with only one hand and one fork! Very recommended

Uno splendido pranzo di lavoro, in un locale bellissimo e arredato proprio come piace a me: molto legno, sedie tutte diverse e fiori freschi su ogni tavolo! Super romantico. Il personale è eccezionale, ti senti come se stessi pranzando a casa con amici.

Gentilezza dei gestori e del personale. Raffinatezza. Qualità.simpatia. È un po' un Ristorante Boutique con molti oggetti di antiquariato e cibo di qualità molto elevata di ottima creatività. Buono anche il rapporto prezzo/ qualità dei cibi. Consigiabilissimo.

"We would never have expected to eat such a good pizza in Trieste, but we had to believe! Neapolitan high impact and well-made ingredients and above all quality. At the first bite we immediately thought that we would taste it in all possible variants, they must all be exquisite. The prices of pizzas may seem high but worth it. "A really good evening and meal. Staff went out of their way to understand my awful Italian and explained the local specialties really well (in English! . The Jota is a must if you like sauerkraut. Food was good and plentiful. Restaurant, all indoor seating, was atmospheric and busy. Prices are good. It was a very enjoyable experience delivered by people who obviously love what they do. Recommended, probably a good idea to make a reservation."

"We read an article in Travel and Leisure from August 2011 that we saved. Admittedly, we visited 2 years after publication. The article describes the restaurant in glowing terms as the best meal I have in Trieste. The author raved about the fritto misto. We ate here recently and were disappointed. First of all, our meal cost $190 for two of us. We had 2 courses. First was amberjack tuna that my wife enjoyed. I had octopus that was just ok, pretty chewy, although the one really interesting part was the tomato ice cream accompaniment. We both had fritto misto and both felt it was mediocre. Wines were far more enjoyable than the food and apparently drove up the price. If cost is no object, you will find the restaurant charming and the service attentive. Silence in this place is akin to a church service. There are only 6 tables. It is a 5 minute walk from the piazza."

"This is the story of how we fell in love with Salsapiriglia and had dinner there twice in a row. We went there with two kids, and they immediately offered some very kid-friendly options to start with. Later, our kids not just ventured onto our plates but devoured one of our main courses like a vacuum cleaner and tasted the rest with the same craving as if they hadn't eaten in a week (even though they had just finished their food). It shows how great Salsapariglia is (those with kids know what I am talking about). It is a small, cozy place with a few tables and more than capable service. They were friendly and always looked after us but never intrusively. After we ordered, the chef Mariaeugenia came out and offered that she could make something of that as a unique local version and shared its story of origin. And how grateful we all were later on for her tip. I won't post pictures, whatever your choice; what you see is what you get. And their pasta was just unbelievable, as we learned they made their own twice a week in their laboratory at 4 AM. The restaurant is run by a couple with three kids, the youngest less than a year old. And how did I learn all this? At the elbow table, just in front of the restaurant, the staff regularly uses it for their breaks. Amazing people, food, and experience! And one more thing, remember to reserve a table."

"the restaurant offers a discreet selection of food and beers. the staff is very kind and prepared to propose the right combinations. The environment is nice, unpretentious. Unfortunately the heating was low and it is annoying to eat feeling cold. food is of good quality and has clear and decisive flavors. I personally tasted a meat (tokyo beef) and I couldn't finish it, because it was too hard. sin because the taste, instead, was great, with the contour with which it was served. sweets were also lined with the rest of the dishes: they would let them eat! The bill, a little expensive."
