"Ich bestellte Catering-Dienste von Man'Ouchy für meine These Verteidigung und ich war unglaublich glücklich damit. Das Team bereitete eine schöne Auswahl an mezzés (falafel, Spinat pie, rkakat feta, und Kebbé begleitet von viel libanesisches Brot, Taboulé und Dips (hummus und Auberginen-Kaviar). Viele meiner Gäste kamen zu mir und sagten mir, wie sehr sie das Essen liebten. Ich stimme ihnen voll und ganz zu. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wieder bestellen!"

"Zweimal holen wir Essen dort, und einmal die Portionen, wo arm, also empfahl ich, zu überprüfen, bevor es ausgeht. Und der zweite, der Besitzer war ziemlich unhöflich, wir wo das Menü lesen und er nahm es aus meinen Händen sagen, dass es schwächlich menú war, so könnte ich es auch aus dem Internet überprüfen. "Toller Service, auch wenn die Kellner uns manchmal ein wenig vergessen haben. Der Manager ist großartig und das Restaurant hat sich sehr verändert und entwickelt sich immer noch weiter. Das Essen ist gut, besonders die Desserts und die Szechuan-Auberginen. Die Gerichte sind sehr gut, leider steht nicht im Menü, ob die Gerichte scharf sind oder nicht. Ein paar kleine Verbesserungsbereiche, aber insgesamt ein großartiger Ort, die Atmosphäre ist toll, die Toiletten sind sauber. Ich werde ohne zu zögern wiederkommen!"

"Wir mussten dieses Restaurant nutzen, da es in der Nähe unseres Hotels lag und das andere Restaurant The Cut an einem Samstagabend geschlossen war! Dieses überteuerte Essen, das für Studenten gedacht war und auf Papptellern mit Holzmessern und -gabeln serviert wurde, war eine absolute Abzocke. Sieht schick und hip aus, aber der Salat ist eine große Enttäuschung, obwohl der Burger meines Mannes fairerweise gut war und der Preis immer noch dämlich war."

"Au Charbon is family managed restaurant, set in a pleasant and quiet part of Lausanne, easily reached on the bus, if like me, you are touring. The restaurant is ‘cosy’ and the owners have maximised the number of seats available, which sounds like me...spinning a cramped venue but it actually works out okay. We had sufficient room to relax and eat without imposing on our neighbouring tables, so the efficient spacing added to the atmosphere and the wine waiter added character. The restaurant has a traditional pizzeria menu with no surprises with the choice of pizza, steaks etc. All our choices were well presented, cooked exactly to request and delicious. Portion sizes were just right too On the down side, the table service was very slow, it took around an hour for the first course and one dish was wrong when it eventually arrived but we put that down to being busy. The lady serving was also a bit too presumptuous that the change from the bill would be her tip and she didn’t return the change, eventually coming back to confirm if this was so. In summary, I enjoyed my meal and time at Au Charbon, they seem to have earned their reputation from being consistent in serving nicely presented dishes that are cooked well. The higher end options are a bit on the pricey side if you are on holiday, especially when considering this is a pizzeria (a steak costing CHF). However most restaurants of this type in Lausanne are similarly priced and it is what it is."
